Vistas increíbles
Pros:

Habitación y piscina con vistas increíbles al mar. Ubicación ideal cerca de bikini beach y zona más concurrida de la isla. El personal era muy amable. Sin duda repetiríamos hotel en Maafushi

Never again, so disappointing
Pros:

The room itself was okay, The mattress was comfortable.

Cons:

* Extremely loud construction noise every day until around 9:30 PM. It was impossible to properly relax, either in the room or by the pool.
* The balcony overlooked a construction site. The whole area feels very built-up, with high-rise buildings and ongoing construction everywhere, so it is not particularly scenic or relaxing.
* There are no umbrellas by the pool. Sunbeds have to be requested at reception and are then taken to the beach. However, you may end up in the second row because the front sunbeds belong to nearby restaurants. Don’t forget, no umbrellas!!
* We asked for an umbrella, and the receptionist pretended to make a phone call, only to tell us afterwards that it was not possible. This was especially strange because we saw an entire room full of umbrellas.
* The receptionist was also very unfriendly.
* There were stains on the bedsheets.
* On our last morning, we were asked for our room key card during breakfast at 7:25 AM so that we could check out. We found this unnecessarily pushy.
* Even relaxing by the pool was difficult because of the constant construction noise.
* The pool water looked very dirty. On one day, the pool was not even usable until around 12 PM.
* The staff were quite loud in the mornings, although this may have been because our room was right next to their storage/material room.
* The porter who brought our luggage stood inside our room for around two minutes, clearly waiting for a tip. He only left after we told him we had no cash.
* The beach and much of the island looked poorly maintained. There was plastic waste, dead coral and seaweed everywhere, and it did not seem like anyone was taking care of it.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. If you are looking for peace, a beautiful beach and a relaxing pool area, this is currently not the place for that due to the amount of construction and noise. The room itself was acceptable and the mattress was comfortable, but overall there were simply too many negative points.

Mooi verblijf, goede service, lieve mensen
Pros:

Het personeel was geweldig. Heel vriendelijk, belangstellend en behulpzaam. Zeer snelle service als we iets nodig hadden. De kamer was heerlijk, schoon en het balkon had natuurlijk een prachtig uitzicht op zee. Het zwembad op het dak erbij was fijn. Prima ontbijt. Excursies bij het hotel geboekt en de transfer met de boot heen en terug ook. Goed geregeld. Als je naar Bikini Beach wilt en je geeft het bij de receptie aan, dan komen ze een bedje voor je brengen naar het strand (op 3 minuten lopen). Die bedjes waren ook veel beter dan de bedjes die je daar kon huren. Bedankt lieve mensen!

Personnel très gentil, aux petits soins des clients!
Buffet du petit déjeuner varié. Chambre spacieuse et très jolie piscine sur le toit. Diverses excursions proposées à prix correctes.

Cons:

Travaux juste à côté de l’hôtel que ce soit à droite ou à gauche… un peu bruyant et pas très joli à voir quand on est sur la terrasse ou à la piscine.

Personal muy amable y comida muy buena
Pros:

El hotel está muy bien y el personal es muy atento. Nosotros llegamos a Maafushi con su barco desde Malé y estaban esperándonos los trabajadores en el puerto para llevar nuestras maletas. Muy atentos durante toda la estancia. La comida de la media pensión es muy completa, con platos variados cada día y una mezcla de local e internacional. La piscina de la última planta está bien aunque es un poco pequeña si hay varias personas.

Cons:

Lo peor de Maafushi en general es que la playa Bikini es muy pequeña y está un poco apartada del hotel.

New and shiny hotel. Bad hospitality culture
Pros:

Triton is a new and fancy hotel in Maafushi and that’s where the attraction ends.
The staff are difficult to communicate with. You explain and they nod yes. Then they do the exact opposite of what you just explained.
Very bad experience. Tourists beware as all that glitters is not gold

Cons:

Triton hotels does not operate the tours and water sports they market to guests. A full day tour was sold to our group under false advertising and when we got to the middle of the ocean, the real tour operators introduced new fees and extorted us. We had no choice in the middle of the ocean.
They keep trying to charge extra at every opportunity
