A short but enjoyable Ajaccio stay
Pros:

The location access by car was a little tricky, and then parking was either in public car park further away- valet parking was available for about 42 Eu but this expires with room checkout, so need to move on by 10am The hotel itself was very nice, rooms generous size, staff pleasant, good breakfast in pretty courtyard. Dinner recommendation to Bistro Canaille excellent

Découverte d'Ajaccio
Pros:

Emplacement parfait au centre de la vieille ville. Magnifique bâtiment.
Le personnel a été à l'écoute et nous a sorti d'une mauvaise passe lors de notre arrivée en voiture (travaux et impossibilité d'arriver jusqu'à l'hôtel. Merci Lisa !

Cons:

Dans la chambre, un mobilier quelque peu hétéroclite peu à notre goût.
Le prix du petit-déjeuner excessif malgré un choix certain.

Pros:

The hotel is housed in a historic building. The rooms are not particularly large, but they are comfortable. Breakfast is served in a beautiful setting, while for dinner you need to choose one of the many restaurants nearby.

As the hotel is located in a pedestrian zone, you need to call reception when you reach the barrier so they can open it for you. Valet parking is the only option, but it works well.

The location is right in the heart of the old town. Napoleon’s family home is practically across the street, the church where he was baptised is just a three-minute walk away, and the harbour and promenade are equally close.

That said, Ajaccio is a compact city where almost everything is within easy walking distance, so I am not entirely convinced that the central location and the historic character of the building alone justify the price.

Toplocatie maar faciliteiten die worden aangeboden zijn onbruikbaar
Pros:

Toplocatie - bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand. Uitgebreid ontbijt op erg mooi & rustig binnenterras. Hotel is van zeer hoge klasse, zo ook de prijs. 2 belangrijke tegenvallers: betaald voor een bubbelbad. Geen gebruikershandleiding (ook opgezocht op kolossale tv toestellen waar je een half uur voor nodig hebt om ze überhaupt aan de praat te krijgen), receptie 2x gebeld - geen reactie, dan maar zo uitgeprobeerd - bij eerste toets die we uitprobeerden kwam ontzettend veel lawaai, afzetten lukte niet, dus naar receptie gegaan en gevraagd om te komen helpen, ongelukkig genoeg heeft de man de kamer laten onderlopen, we hebben onze spullen nog net kunnen redden van de wateroverlast. Uiteindelijk om 1h30 kunnen gaan slapen. Veel geld betaald voor iets wat niet werkte en/of niemand ons kon mee helpen. Volgende nacht, weer rond 22h op kamer. Huilende hond naast ons, tot na middernacht (huisdieren zijn toegelaten). Onbegrijpelijk voor dit soort hotel.

Cons:

Zie hierboven. Zonde dat booking.com alleen maar het positieve publiceren en niet ook wat er tegen viel. Dit is overigens de 4de keer in een jaar tijd dat we een "luxe" kamer boeken met extra "faciliteiten" en dat het niet werkt. We vertrouwen het helaas niet meer.

Zentrale Lage, abgelebte und unsaubere Zimmer, viel zu teuer
Pros:

Wir waren mit der Vespa und Hund unterwegs. Da die Straße mit Schranken abgesperrt ist hat man keinen Parkplatz. Für die Vespa sollte dieser gleich 23€ Extra kosten. Also lieber außerhalb der f Zone geparkt und Gepäck geschleppt. Hund kostet auch 20,- extra pro Nacht. Das halte ich für viel zu viel bei schon . Zimmer vor allem Bad war dreckig und ist abgelebt. Ich würde da nicht mehr hin

Alt verlebt, Bad ist dreckig und Renovierung der Zimmer ist schon 20 Jahre oder länger her. Personal ist nicht sehr freundlich.
