No shower, only a bath with a handheld shower nozzle.

The small room felt dark and dingy. The balcony was dripping with spiders.

Tiny attic room up a steep narrow staircase with the bathroom downstairs along the corridor

It was so noisy and it felt like a B&B.

We stayed here for our anniversary and had chosen the hotel based on feedback I'd read on Booking.com. I must say I was disappointed with the room which was a shame as I was particularly looking forward to staying here. Whilst the location is great, the value for money isn't, the room felt somewhat budget for the £259 price tag. We stayed in the house rather than the hotel, its perched up above the loch and you have some fantastic views over that and the surrounding countryside. We stayed in room 1, which was tiny and next to the stairs (you could hear every time someone came up or went down the stairs), a real squeeze to get around the bed, no space to put bags anywhere, no wardrobe, hairdryer or iron. The bathroom was also tiny, nice shower but very little room to navigate once you'd entered the bathroom.

It was not made clear to me I had to go for evening meal at the Hotel. Breakfast was a little confusing

Didn't mind the drive down to the hotel for dinner but would have been nice to have an option and a bar at the house.

Kamer was vlak voor de parking waardoor iedereen bijna voor de venster liep . De badkamer was ook aan een update toe , schimmel aan het bad en de plinten afgeschilverd.425€ voor 1 nacht dan MOET het in orde zijn ,ontbijt was inbegrepen maar het avond niet dat nog is apart dient betaald te worden, het continentaal ontbijt was een ramp alles was al bijna op om 0830 en bijvullen gebeurde sporadisch .
Veel te duur voor wat je krijgt indien ze het avondeten in de prijs zouden bij inverwerken dan zou je het nog kunnen begrijpen.

Niet in het hotel maar in een op 3km afstand barn locatie.die niet beantwoord aan je aanvraag.

Unfortunately, the service put an overall dampener on what was meant to be a special one-night stay to celebrate my partner’s surprise birthday.

Before arriving, I had contacted the hotel to ask whether there was anything they could arrange to help make the stay a little special for his birthday, and received an email confirming that they could. However, when we arrived there was nothing arranged in the room and no mention of his birthday at all. It was disappointing, particularly as I had been given the impression beforehand that something would be done.

We also needed to leave at 7:30am the following morning and were told by the man on reception that, as breakfast did not start until 8am, there was no possibility of having anything prepared for us to take away. I appreciate that we were leaving before the official breakfast time, but given that it was only half an hour earlier, breakfast was included in our stay, and we had paid nearly £400 for a single night as well as dining in the restaurant, I was disappointed that there seemed to be no willingness to accommodate us in any way.

The one real redeeming factor was a lovely waitress in the restaurant. During our evening meal I mentioned that I had expected there might be a birthday surprise but that nothing had materialised, and asked whether there was anything they could do. She very kindly arranged a complimentary cheesecake for my partner, which was delicious and created a genuinely lovely moment. We really appreciated her making the effort.

Overall, though, it felt awkward having to repeatedly ask for these little touches when the hotel had already confirmed beforehand that they would help mark the occasion. For the price and the fact that this was meant to be a special birthday stay, I expected a warmer and more accommodating level of service.
