Misleading presentation of the apartment, overpriced for the reality. Asked staff for help on a couple of occasions, but

Cons:

Looked great but was very tired and poorly maintained, broken and damaged pans, cupboard doors not closing and catching on other cupboards, hole in the wall by the front door, hot water ran brown at times and basin kept blocking. Although the exterior and interior of the apartment looked good from a distance, it was poor close up. The rest of the building is in poor repair with a very old and precarious lift.

Både øen og overnatningsstedet kommer vi gerne tilbage til.
Pros:

Meget central beliggenhed på Ortigia. Ned med elevatoren, og du står midt i livet på øen med et hav af kulturelle oplevelser rundt om hvert hjørne og skønne restauranter overalt. Min datter har en veninde der kommer fra øen, og hun havde spurgt hende, hvor man spiste bedst på øen. Svaret: Everywhere!
Vi havde et problem med det kolde vand, men overnatningsstedet reagerede prompte på en meget generøs måde, så vi kan kun sige, at det hele var TOP.

Great location and spacious apartment with excellent hosts
Pros:

Comfortable bed, easy check-in, spacious room, the elevator, sound-dampening windows, rainfall shower, very responsive hosts. We’d definitely stay here again.

Cons:

A few small things: a shampoo dispenser would be nice, plus a couple of extra shower towels for longer stays and more than two rolls of toilet paper. Hair dryer was not working.

Schönes und hochwertiges Appartement in Top-Lage
Pros:

Die Appartments von Matteotti Residence bieten einen hohen Standard, eine sehr gute Lage in der Stadt sowie guten Service und sind uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.
Die Wohnungen befinden sich im 3. Stock eines schönen und großen, repräsentativen Wohn- und Geschäftsbaus aus den 1930er Jahren. Der Corso Matteotti ist der einzige moderne Boulevard in Ortigia und führt vom Apollon-Tempel hinauf auf den Archimedes-Platz und damit ins Zentrum der Halbinsel. Die Lage der Appartments ist dementsprechend exzellent. Man ist umgeben von modernen wie auch traditionellen Geschäften. 2 gute Kaffee-Bars und auch ein kleiner Supermarkt sind im Umkreis von 50 m. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Alle Orte auf der Halbinsel sind in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.
Die Wohnungen sind gut gestaltet, sowie konsistent und komplett eingerichtet und haben viel natürliches Licht. Es gibt ausreichend Balkone, viele davon mit einem schönen Blick nach Osten auf das offene Meer mit entsprechender Morgensonne. Das Bett war gut und gemütlich, das Bad gut designt und sehr angenehm. Es gibt eine kleine, gut ausgestattete Küche mit Geschirrspüler und alles, was man auch für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt benötigt. Da es sich um ein Gebäude aus 1930 handelt, sind Stiegenhaus und Aufzug entsprechend historisch.
Man kommt mit Code praktisch ins Haus und in die Wohnung, wo man einen Schlüssel vorfindet.
Das Team von Sud-Est agiert seriös und professionell und ist gut zu erreichen. Der digitale Stadtführer in der Wohnung ist gut, die Lokaltipps z.B. waren allesamt exzellent.
Wir waren sehr zufrieden.
