Brief stay while traveling, nice place with an opportunity to see some of Richmond’s historic places.
Pros:

Great downtown location. Historic. Cool decor.

Cons:

It was fine, but our view was of the mechanicals (a/c and ventilation system on the lower roof.

My stay at Roxy Richmond was excellent
Pros:

The location was excellent. Very close to the convention center where I was attending an event. The atmosphere when you walk through the door was very pleasant and clean. I would recommend it to everyone who is visiting Richmond.

Cons:

I liked everything.
It was clean in the room and throughout the whole establishment .

Great place but don't assume what you book/reserve is what you will get.

I had booked a queen room with a twin loft bed only to be told "you reserved a queen with twin loft but a group JUST came in and it is no longer available" I paid the same price for a single queen room

Pros:

Jerome, valet, was amazing! Stayed M-F and never got room service. Most hotels are every other day. No signage stating it was upon request only. Food is average, at best. But to be fair I only at their food once. It served its purpose but will not stay again.

Pleasant stay
Pros:

Everything was great. Room was clean, valet was easy, and Jerome quickly retrieved our car in the morning when we ready to leave.

Hotel prices for a lackluster hostel-like experience
Pros:

Location is good.

Cons:

The hotel feels more like a hostel and does not have standard hotel services for the price. They did not have extra pillows or blankets for the room (even though they said they were in a storage closet), they did not provide housekeeping, and staff were unavailable to answer calls to the front desk asking for basic items (more towels, pillows, etc.). The room was also miniscule, which is confusing for a city like Richmond.

The worst hotel experience
Pros:

Did not have it there as you have to wait for somebody to com and cook something

Cons:

It is a shame that booking .com can recommend this place. The registering is actually in the kitchen!
The bedroom was so small I couldn’t go around the bed if my suitcase was open.
The air conditioner was non existant only the heat was working.
The shower door would constantly open while taking a shower and flooding the bathroom.
Pornographic picture on the wall…..
I could go on…. I will no longer use Booking.com

No light, no fresh air.
Pros:

Great location.

Cons:

Windowless room. Neither Booking nor the hotel alerted us, during reservation process or in their respective email communications, that the room would be windowless. Grim and depressing room.

Pretty room; Poor service from reception staff
Pros:

We came looking for a one night stay in order to catch a late evening show at the Altria. This hotel's location was nearby, so we chose it. Overall, our stay was average. The front reception staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. When asked about the valet parking, they said we had to go down the street a little to find the valet. The valet, however, is in the same building. What we had to do was park in front of the hotel and talk to the valet at the front door. The valet was friendly and very helpful.
Our room was clean and had a nice atmosphere, but it had no vent fan, so it reeked of strong cleaning chemicals, and we had no way to air out the smell (the windows do not open).
When looking for breakfast, the reception staff once again did not give any advice or help. The morning valet instead was the one who helped us find where to go! Jerome was very kind and helpful. He saw we needed help, and he did not hesitate to guide us in the right direction. Breakfast at the hotel is pricey ($15 for a bagel sandwich), so we opted to check out early and find a meal worth the price somewhere else. Jerome brought our car back promptly and wished us luck on our travels. The valets are the true gems of this hotel.
