This hotel is absolutely stunning. It's small enough that you won't see much of the other guests. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, willing to make suggestions and give recommendations. You will find yourself in a cool part of town with lots of restaurants, shops, and interesting streets to explore within walking distance.
Our room was spotlessly clean and it had an incredible view of the stained glass windows of the church next door. We also had access to the room terrace above which was private and a wonderful bonus.
There is a water pump on the roof which goes off if other guests use the water (i.e. showers, runs a tap, flushes a toilet). This is probably not usually an issue, but unfortunately someone was using it all night long! The pump is pretty loud and we had difficulty sleeping as a result. The hotel were really helpful about the issue and offered us the option to check out late before our evening flight.

It was very peaceful and lovely. It’s in a quiet street where you can hear the birds singing in the morning. Esmeralda was so accommodating and very communicative. My room was GORGEOUS and the bed was so comfortable. I would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon. I didn’t get to stay long enough. I was sad I missed the complimentary breakfast and also didn’t get to use the hot tub but wanted to make sure to mention those very gracious amenities.

Breakfast was nice, and the chef was wonderful! The style was nice and reflected the style of Mexico City.
There was no air conditioning and no elevator, so after a long day the stairs to the third floor was a bit tiring. We had to keep the door to the patio open to get some fresh air and but then it rained and soaked my suitcase and the yellow dye of the rug got all over my clothing.
We loved Casa Pani. The feel and design of the boutique hotel was perfect for us. We loved getting to chat with other guests over home cooked and delicious breakfast, our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The common spaces inside and out provided great spots to read and relax, and the location was walkable to most of the places we wanted to explore in CDMX.
Casa Pani is a beautiful guest house in an excellent location, within walking distance of many museums and nice neighbourhoods. Staff are very friendly and provide a delicious breakfast each day. You have a chance to meet other guests around the shared dining table, great for hearing what others are doing and finding out useful travel tips.
The only issue we had was the water pressure in the shower. They use a solar power system so it can be consistent temperature as well.
