An Infrastructure tax was introduced by the Zanzibar government from 1st July 2015. The tax of US$5 per person per day is to be collected by the hotel accommodations from all inhouse guests on behalf of the Zanzibar Revenue Board (ZRB). This amount is payable directly on check-in.

Ma chambre donnait sur le générateur qui faisait un tel bruit qu’il était impossible de dormir. J’ai changé de chambre. Dans le nouvelle chambre la Clim ne fonctionnait pas, il y a une fuite d’eau toute la nuit et la serrure de la porte ne se fermait pas. Pas génial pour la sécurité.

J’ai séjourné à la Shaba boutique hôtel à Stonetown, c’était une expérience absolument remarquable.
L’emplacement est idéal, en plein cœur de Stonetown, tout se fait à pied. Le décor est charmant, la chambre que j’ai occupée était splendide, avec sa propre terrasse. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux, et le personnel était aux petits soins, absolument gentil et dévoué. Ils m’ont vraiment aidé, avec des conseils parfaits pour organiser mes visites. Un immense merci au personnel pour leur gentillesse et leur dévouement. Grâce à eux, mon séjour a été inoubliable.

It is an exciting place to stay because you feel like you live in a museum. It is very charming! The breakfast is nice and especially the avocado toast is good.
Love warm welcoming vibe. Staff were lovely and even offered to make me a takeaway breakfast when I had to leave early. Rooms whilst small were very comfortable with all the needed facilities
The interior decoration was charming, especially the mosquito net over the bed. The balcony was very comfortable and a great added value!
There was a drinking water dispenser on the same floor, including hot water for coffee/tea, which is a very clever and environmentally smart solution (instead of plastic bottles). The same is true for the shampoo- and soap dispensers in the bathroom.
Breakfast: there was a buffet with great choice. I loved the avocado toast, assorted exotic fruits and hibiscus juice.

Would be nice to have a dinner option,even if its a selection of two dishes as resturants are not great around there
