Modern, cozy, convenient
The bathrooms (showers especially) needed a good clean.
Baths rooms and toilets needs to be cleaned
The self check-in and check-out process was easy and straightforward.
The facilities overall were extremely dirty and unconventional. The bathroom was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks or just overall neglected. The skylight in the women’s showers directly reflect the inside of the opposite shower, and I’m assuming their ‘fix’ was the sign in the showers that say to shut the door which separates the changing compartment from the actual shower. However, as soon as someone leaves their respective shower and looks up, you can quite literally see the reflection into the other shower which is extremely uncomfortable and should be an easy fix to cover with some sort of matte contact paper. There were others used personal belongings left in the bathroom like clearly old used toothbrushes in a rusted cart by the sink. If people are staying long term and want to make themselves at home that’s fine, but I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and in long term communal bathrooms, it is expected you take your belongings with you or they will be disposed of. The pod I stayed in was also broken on the bottom, with the wood paneling completely missing. The light knob inside the pod was broken off, and there was a sticker on the wall from a previous guests face wash they had obviously placed there and no one had removed. When I opened the quilt there were also multiple pieces of long dark hair stuck throughout the blanket. I was only staying for one night, so I stuck through and moved on. However, if I had planned to stay here for more than a night I would’ve immediately started looking elsewhere. Also, the “female dormitory” is just a part of the main hallway that is sectioned off by a half curtain, and it’s placed at the end of the main hallway. So everyone coming through the building on the way to their pods or the bathrooms looks in that direction anyways, 10/10 design choices obviously. I stayed in the pod inn hotel in Launceston, which was amazing and better in cleanliness, and overall quality of amenities by leagues.
Great central location. Good for a one night stay. Good toilets & showers, free laundry, towels provided.
Very loud if you’re staying in the room near the front, even with earplugs - people trekking through & constant beeping from the lockers. Could invest in thicker mattresses as it felt like sleeping on solid wood, I struggled to sleep. Lockers are quite small, my rucksack just about fit but you’d struggle. The dryer also left my clothes sopping wet.
The pods themself were nice inside. Comfortable and well insulated with managable aircontrol. Good for if you plan on never being there, other to sleep. No social vibe.
Outside the pod the spaces were quite basic. The bathrooms were small and dirty, with no bench space and looked like they weren't cleaned that regularly. It would be better if the lockers were closer to the pods, as you aren't really able to keep anything in the pods. The pods also only had USB power sockets, so keep that in mind, otherwise you need to leave your devices outside of the pods or lockers to charge, which is not very secure.
Location, the capsule
Bathroom cleaness
staff
no cooking facilities
Cheap and convenient.
Amenities were a little bit dated. Not many good charging options in the capsule. Toilets weren’t very clean.
Navigating the property and facilities was accessible and intuitive.
Loved how easy it was to self check in and out.
The capsule was cozy and the features inside were great.
1. Bathroom door desperately needs to be oil'd, the noise often penetrates through ear plugs.
2. Most of the capsuels also squeak and need to be oiled. All guests were quiet and respectful, but the constant squeaking ruined the peace.
3. Lack of privacy from the street in the only lounge/kitchen.
Near to center. The people staying were respectful of the quiet time.
I have found some dirt on my pod.
