Location, location. Absolutely perfect.
Pros:

Modern stylish design. Quiet rooms, well appointed. Great breakfast available, and convenient location near all services. Perfect location close to the convention centre.

Cons:

Difficult to gain vehicle access when checking in due to traffic flow and congestion.

Clean and spacious rooms, lovely view and wonderful staff.
Pros:

Stunning property, incredibly clean and well appointed rooms. The view from our balcony was lovely. The staff were all delightful and the breakfast was fantastic.

Cons:

The only negative was the size of the driveway, it was quite small and would get congested during peak times which obviously isn't able to be helped, literally everything else was fantastic.

Pros:

A comfortable room, lovely view of the Mersey River. Very close to the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry Terminal.

Novotel is an amazing place to stay, so clean and beautiful.
Pros:

The hotel was amazing, very clean and our room with a balcony and river view was perfect.
Reception staff were great.
The location on the river with the boardwalk was excellent.
The surroundings of freshly mowed lawns, water features, lovely trees and location to other shops and the mall was amazing.

Cons:

An indoor pool would be amazing but understand this is not realistic.
Our only negative was with the restaurant, reception staff advised when we checked in that the restaurant wasn't busy, no need to book and just turn up.
When we arrived at the restaurant at around 7pm, they were not exactly pleased to see us and said they were almost full and the hotel staff have no idea about their bookings. I apologised and asked for a window table if one was available and I was promptly told no. Although there was a window table vacant for the entirety of our dinner. The meals were nice enough but not great, the request for our order of meals was extreme with around 5 wait persons asking for our order giving us the impression they would like to get us out quickly. Meals were served in a good amount of time. Drink service was very poor with wait staff continually walking past our table without offering another drink, or making eye contact. We spent $111 but would have happily spent more if the drink service was better.

Comfortable stay with a nice view and central location.
Pros:

The room I got was clean and lovely, with a great view and comfortable beds. It had coffee and tea facilities and was overall very comfortable.

Cons:

One of the cups was cracked and leaked when I made a cup of tea. The little coffee machine reservoir leaked all over the counter so I didn't use it much. The parking is a bit of a pain with concierge only or off site parking. The breakfast is not as comprehensive as other Novotels I have stayed at. Not huge things and overall the stay was really good.
