TownePlace Suites by Marriott Chattanooga South, East Ridge

The room sizes! Just amazing for the price!! Have traveled with two goldendoodles back in October of 2026 when we were moving to FL and that was our first time coming to this hotel. Purposely booked the same hotel for this most recent stay because I was AMAZED with the facility! This time around we were moving our duaghter to FL after she just graduated from University of Iowa. HIGHLY recommend this hotel!!!!!!!

Location was excellent and was close to interstate.

It was new, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly even with our late check in.

Roscoe was excellent!! We had an issue with the TV, he came up and fixed it within minutes! The beds were super comfortable.

For my road trip this location was prefect for my needs, close to the highway and fuel stations. Breakfast provided was good with several options. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Stayed again on my return trip.

Clean, modern, well maintained

I love the location and it is always clean. The staff is always top notch and the little amenities in the rooms are amazing. There are things most hotels don't offer or think of!

This was my 1st stay at this hotel but I am familiar with the TownePlace Suites hotels in other locations. The hotel was easily found and is approximately 1/4 mile from I-75 but even the distance from the interstate there was still a lot of traffic noise during the night. Check in was easy and our room was ready upon arrival. Our room was a 2 queen bed studio with mountain view because my husband and I were traveling with our 2 1/2 yr old granddaughter. The room was very nice and spacious. The kitchen area had a full-size refrigerator, a 2 burner stove top, microwave, sink and dishwasher. There were no hand towels, dish rags or hot pads in the kitchen area. The bathroom was large with a tub/shower combo which was perfect for our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. Sadly, when I took a shower the morning after arrival, there was minimal hot water. When I started the shower I had to leave the cold water off from start to finish because the "hot water" was barely hot. I was unable to shave my legs because the water was becoming so cold that I had goosebumps. A lady can't shave when the water is cold. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were terrible. I can't tell you what the pillows were stuffed with but as soon as I laid my head on the pillow I immediately noticed that my head was lying on the bet. My husband and I had to use 2 pillows stacked on each other and the 2nd pillow was doubled over to get our heads at an almost normal height to sleep. The A/C was horrible and the fan did not have a setting for it to run continuously. The A/C would kick on and the room would be cold then shut off and the room became miserably hot during the time that the A/C was off. All night long my husband and I were throwing the covers off and pulling them back on. He and I slept horribly during the night. Breakfast was the standard free breakfast food. There were fresh made waffles, "turkey" ham circles, plain egg circles and another egg circle mixed with some kind of meat,v3 types of bagels, muffins including chocolate, gluten free muffins, blueberry scones, white bread for toasting. 6 different types of cold cereal, oatmeal in a large pot, a "fixin's" bar with several different things to put in oatmeal or yogurt, 3 types of yogurt, chocolate & white milk, but I can't say if there was some sort of dairy-free milk. Seating in the breakfast area was plentiful. This hotel was a nice hotel but because of the interstate noise and the horrible night's sleep due to the A/C lacking a continuous fan setting, I do not think that my husband and I will stay here again. My husband and I are generally in Chattanooga to visit our son, DIL and 2 granddaughters and we will probably go return to the ones that we've had a good experience in.
