Our stay at this hotel in Vang Vieng was extremely disappointing and far from what was advertised on Booking.com.

The photos online are very misleading and appear to be from when the property first opened. In reality, the hotel is now old, poorly maintained, and quite rundown. When we entered our room, there was lizard droppings on the bed. Although we requested cleaning, only the droppings were removed—the bedsheets were not changed, which was very concerning from a hygiene perspective.

The sheets and towels had a strong musty smell, as if they hadn’t been properly cleaned or aired out in a long time. The bathroom was no better—we found a large cockroach that even appeared to have a stinger, which made the situation quite unsettling.

The lighting outside the rooms attracts a lot of insects, which in turn brings in many lizards. This made it uncomfortable to even step outside the room. Although breakfast was included, we chose not to eat due to serious concerns about cleanliness.

Additionally, the hotel is located in a secluded area, quite far from the main attractions and lively parts of town, which made getting around inconvenient. The air conditioning was also ineffective and did not cool the room properly.

Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience. We were relieved that we had only booked one night, and honestly, we were counting down the hours until checkout.

I would not recommend this property, especially considering the misleading photos and poor hygiene standards.

Hotel mal placé, assez loin du centre et en perdition, ne pas se fier aus photos ce n'est plus du tout ça. Aucun nettoyage extérieur, tout est très sales, les chaise en tissu, les tables dégueulasses. Tous est en piteuse état. Le frigo de la reception est vide. Toile d'araignée partout.
Dans la chambre, le coffre fort ne fonctionne pas, des bêtes contre les murs, la douche n'en parlons pas elles est toute branlante, du cacaire et coule très mal.
Rester 3 nuits et malgré les demandes aucun ménage de chambre ni changement de serviettes.
Passez votre chemin il y a mieux ailleurs

Les chambres ne correspondent pas au descriptif, elles sont vieillissantes. Les draps et les serviettes sont propres mais rideaux, couvre lit, coussins sont sales.

La piscine n'est pas très propre. Le petit déjeuner est très simple.

Die Zimmer waren nicht besonders ansprechend. Insgesamt herunter gekommen und das Badezimmer nicht richtig sauber. Leider gab es nur 1 Handtuch p.p. was gerade wenn es einen Pool gibt nicht ausreichend ist. Im Bad war keine Fußmatte vorhanden und somit alles naß und gefährlich rutschig. Beim Frühstück fühlten wir uns wie in einer Bahnhofshalle. Kaum Möbel, nicht wirklich sauber und viel zu groß für die spärliche Möbelierung. Das WC beim Frühstücksraum war mit Wasser geflutet und lud nicht zum "Geschäft" ein, da auch Toilettenpapier komplett fehlte.
Der Garten war nicht gepflegt, so dass "Gartenblick" eher ein Witz ist. Auch die Mülltrennung fand nicht statt. Es gab einen geteilten Mülleimer, der aber von Laub überquoll und die Sortierung kaum erlaubte.

Too dirty

The reviews do not lie - the photos you see on Booking.com are extremely outdated. The pool area is fine but doesn’t look how the photographs show it. The rooms are really run down and look really sad. Location isn’t great, it’s walkable to the main area but about 10/15 mins. We didn’t mind this but might not be good for some, you can defo get more central. A supermarket is about a 5 min walk though so that’s good. Arranged for laundry through the hotel and they initially lost 3 pairs of our socks (very annoying when we are travelling for another 4 months). We did manage to get 2 back after enquiring at reception. We only had the room cleaned on 1 of the days (reception didn’t tell us that the make the room sign needed to be on) and they took our dirty towels but didn’t replace them with new ones so again, had to enquiry at reception about this. The breakfast selection is questionable, a hot egg station seemed to be the only good thing - we only had breakfast here on 1 out of our 4 days. The floors of the room were really dirty, you couldn’t walk around bare foot without getting black feet.

Le manque d’entretien des locaux, des espaces communs. Notre Clim ne fonctionnait pas ; il a fallu le signaler plusieurs fois avant qu’elle ne soit réparée le lendemain soir. Nous avons eu un ventilateur et nous avons changé de chambre pour la deuxième nuit.

Les sanitaires étaient bouchés, l’humidité des chambres, la propreté à revoir, le petit déjeuner très moyen (pain de mie moisi, peu de choix).
