Location is the best! A 3 minute walk to the bustling areas, but still safe and quiet. We were lucky enough to have a room that faced the open street. Good water pressure. Friendly front staff speak English as well. Paperwork is clear and instructional. Lobby has a seating area and two different kinds of prepared tea. Would stay again if visiting.
Our room AC was effective but hummed through the night, but only I was sensitive to it. Room size was appropriate to the price. Not a minus, but don't expect to check in early.
I really love the fact that it is so near to Ximending. The staff was so friendly that they attended to all our enquiries. Even at the lobby they had different kind of drinks for you to enjoy.
also the most important thing is the hotel soundproofing is very good. We could hear no door banging nor any other noises.
If you ask me to say something not really good about the stay was the transportation location. especially when we booked Uber, we didn’t know where to board the car and the drivers can’t really locate the hotel accurately.
Additionally I think that the bed might be too short for guys.
Near to ximending
I had a very disappointing experience with one of the hotel receptionists. A chubby man with pinkish hair who was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout my stay.
When I politely asked for the WiFi password, he responded in a dismissive and unfriendly tone without properly answering my question. His attitude made me feel unwelcome as a guest.
Later, when I approached him downstairs to ask for suggestions on the best timing and transportation to the airport, he again showed no willingness to help. Instead of providing assistance, he kept sighing (“haiz, haiz”) and behaved as though my questions were a burden.
Front desk staff are supposed to represent the hospitality and professionalism of a hotel, but unfortunately his behavior was the complete opposite. This interaction seriously affected my overall impression of the hotel experience.
The car parking was efficient and great to have in a central location
The whole experience was depersonalised. The hotel feels like a factory churning out guests as fast as possible The room was not cleaned to a good standard on arrival. There was hair and dust collected on the bathroom floor and the mini fridge had not been cleaned and had stains on the bottom.
The room was very small and we were unable to open the suitcases completely to access the contents.
On the day of check out, the front desk phoned the room at 11:02 to ask when we would be leaving. I understand we were a little late (we were in the lobby by 11:05) but it felt excessive to call so close to check out time and not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.
Finally I had paid for 2 days of parking when we arrived at 7pm on the first night. On leaving, I wanted to take the car at 3pm, but the front desk said that I would have to pay for a whole other day if I wanted to keep it past 12pm. They insisted even after I explained that we hadn’t arrived until 7pm
I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.
Everything but the room is too small
The room is too small
Great hotel in a great location in the heart of Ximending. Appreciated the early check in provided and the free drinks in the lobby as well. Rooms are well kept and laundry facilities are available.
None.
Excellent location, within the Ximending area. Very convenient to explore the Ximending walking street at night. 10 minute walk to Ximen MRT station. It is also close to bus stops for buses going to places around Taipei, like Jiufen. There's a 7-eleven right across the street, and a fruit store nearby selling fresh fruits. Lots of foot massage places around too. There are some restaurants close by with vegetarian options.
Felt safe for solo women travellers.
The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Hot water in the shower had good pressure and temperature. There was a fridge, TV, electric kettle, hair dryer and 2 water bottles in the room. Window overlooking the street; could be opened partially for some fresh air. AC also had a heater function.
There's a 24/7 lounge on the 15th floor with massage chairs, water dispenser, microwave and a balcony. Utensils aren't available though, need to get your own. The reception also has a water dispenser with free iced tea. A laundry room on the 2nd floor that's pay as per use.
The staff was great! Friendly and helpful.
It is not the norm in Taiwan, but would have been nice to have a bidet in the toilet. Also, the door was very heavy, a bit difficult to open. The stay was pleasant, so these are minor issues in comparison.

Great location - easy to walk to Taipei main station and near to Ximen MRT (both within 10 mins). Good area for getting to many atttractions.
Hotel had everything I needed, including kettle and fridge.
Staff were helpful and I was able to leave bags for the day when I checked out.
Could have been more storage for clothes, but not a big problem
