Tranquilidade.
Pros:

A senhora que nos recebeu muito simpática e divertida. O quarto é espaçoso e confortável, tem tudo o essencial e é sossegado.
O pequeno-almoço e jantar, em regime de meia-pensão sempre inovadores e bons.
Todo o hotel tem um ar cuidado e confortável.

Heerlijk hotel
Pros:

Erg leuk hotel in een schitterend pand in het leuke plaatsje Nueva. Erg aardig personeel. Eli is de hotelmanager - zij houdt alles in de gaten, blijft super vriendelijk en enthousiast, en geeft leiding waar nodig. Zij is onmisbaar. Heerlijk bed, mooie ruime kamer, en leuk terras voor koffie of een cava !

Unser Aufenthalt begann eigentlich sehr positiv. Wir hatten ein Deluxe-Doppelzimmer mit Bad gebucht. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, geräumig und dank der hohen Decken besonders angenehm. Hier gibt es nichts zu bemängeln – ein wirklich gelungenes Zimmer. Positiv hervorzuheben ist zudem die sehr zentrale Lage des Hotels in Nuevas, wodurch sich die Umgebung bequem zu Fuss erkunden lässt.

Auch die Mitarbeitenden an der Rezeption waren jederzeit sehr höflich, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Check-in verlief angenehm und professionell.

Der Spa-Bereich ist eher einfach gehalten. Grundsätzlich ist er für viele Gäste sicherlich ausreichend, allerdings fehlt eine Dusche (oder uns wurde nicht gezeigt, wo die Duschen sind, falls es haben sollte), was aus unserer Sicht ein Verbesserungspunkt ist.

Leider endet hier das Positive.

Cons:

Der Besuch im Hoteleigenen Restaurant war mit Abstand das schlechteste Erlebnis unserer gesamten Reise durch Nordspanien.

Bereits im Vorfeld hatten wir zweimal eine Reservation für das Abendessen vorgenommen – zuerst online und anschliessend nochmals telefonisch. Bei unserer Ankunft war jedoch keine Reservation auffindbar. Immerhin bemühte sich das Personal und organisierte uns trotzdem einen Tisch.

Schon zu Beginn des Restaurantbesuchs entstand der Eindruck, dass das Servicepersonal kaum über gastronomische Erfahrung verfügt. Als wir uns nach den Gerichten auf der Speisekarte erkundigten und auf eine bestehende Nussallergie hinwiesen, erklärte uns die Restaurantleiterin, keines der Gerichte enthalte Nüsse. Diese Aussage war jedoch offensichtlich falsch, da auf der Speisekarte mehrere Gerichte ausdrücklich mit dem entsprechenden Allergenhinweis für Nüsse gekennzeichnet waren. Gerade im Umgang mit Allergenen erwarten wir einen sorgfältigen und kompetenten Service.

Auch bei den einzelnen Gerichten wirkte das Personal unsicher. Auf unsere Nachfrage zu einem Gericht wurde uns erklärt, es handle sich dabei um «Pollo» (Huhn), obwohl in den Allergieinformationen auf der Speisekarte ausdrücklich «contains fish» angegeben war. Trotz unseres Hinweises auf diesen Widerspruch konnte das Personal keine schlüssige Erklärung liefern.

Auch auf unsere Bitte um eine Weinempfehlung wurde uns zunächst ein französischer Wein empfohlen – und das in einem der bedeutendsten Weinländer Europas. Als wir gezielt nach einem spanischen Wein fragten, konnte man uns kaum Auskunft geben oder eine passende Empfehlung abgeben.

Der eigentliche Tiefpunkt folgte beim Essen. Beim zweiten Gang wurde uns ein Teller mit einem kalten Fisch serviert. Da dies offensichtlich nicht unserer Bestellung entsprach, fragten wir nach und erhielten die Bestätigung, dass dies tatsächlich unser Gericht sei.
