It was ok but I couldn’t recommend it to others. Maria is it’s saving Grace.
Pros:

Breakfast ok. Maria the front of house was excellent, friendly, chatty and helpful, best thing about the place really.

Cons:

I didn’t like the location/area and felt uneasy leaving my car nearby but on saying that nothing happened. It looked a bit scruffy and tired around the edges but they were preparing, tidying for a meeting or conference. Too many fake flowers and bitty ornaments in dining area. Tea tray biscuits out of date. I think calling it boutique is stretching it a bit. It’s a shame, the area lets it down.

Great boutique hotel. Lovely staff and exceptional breakfast.
Pros:

Maria, the receptionist and chef was very engaging and personable, providing the best welcome we have ever had.
It was an easy train ride into Birmingham.

Great stopover on our way back home which was exactly what we wanted

Maria was very welcoming and could not do enough for us.
The presidential suit was amazing. Especially the shower!
A gem of a place. Lots of little finishing touches making it that little bit more special.

Very hot but clean
Pros:

Maria, who was the only staff member there, was brilliant. So helpful and friendly, she is what makes this place.
The room was nicely furnished and very clean.
Parking was never an issue. We always got parked right outside the hotel.

Cons:

Our room was on the ground floor overlooking a glass room that had just been built in the courtyard. Unfortunately, it reflects the sun straight into the bedroom. We had to keep the curtains shut due to that and no privacy. It really needs a net curtain. There was no air conditioning anywhere, theroom had a fan and wasn't too bad, but reception was ridiculously hot, so they weren't doing food in the evening, which was slightly annoying as we had planned to eat there on the Sat. Maria recommended a couple of Italian restaurants in West Bromich, we went to Amalfi Blu, which was great.

Außergewöhnlich zuvorkommend! Ein ganz besonderes Hotel ! Leider mussten wir wegen einem Notfall direkt wieder weg . Wir kommen wieder !!

A perfect one night stay half way when coming from East Yorkshire to Devon

Maria made us so welcome from the moment we arrived , very knowledgeable about the area and the food we had on the Evening was made by her and the breakfast! It was lovely, we will be back !
