Very unique hotel. Was beautiful and service was excellent.
My experience at Volga went from good to extraordinary! The facilities are super cool and incredibly unique. The first thing that caught my attention was the amazing architecture and design, which is perfectly paired with the warmth and hospitality of the staff. The team is not only kind but also incredibly well-trained in the hotel's storytelling. What I loved most is that they each show their own unique character; it truly feels like arriving at a friend’s house, yet they maintain a perfect line of professionalism and respect for the guest.
I ordered room service and tried the breakfast, which was included in my rate—it’s an American breakfast served à la carte alongside a half-buffet, and it was excellent.
Again, the facilities here are incredible. I stayed in room 204. While it was on the tinier side, it was a super cozy space. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the duvet genuinely feels like a cloud! The bath amenities are a level up from what you normally expect, not to mention the beautiful decor and shower. They really know how to make you feel welcome, and everything was spotless and well-thought-out. (Bonus: despite the tiny space, there is a functional table to eat, work, or read). The Wi-Fi worked excellently, and I found the room very quiet and tranquil—great for resting or getting some work done.
Location-wise, it feels like a hidden gem but is still close to all the coolest neighborhoods. It was a very easy walk to Roma and Condesa, and Reforma is right there.
To top it all off, the cherry on the cake was the speakeasy, Minos! What more could you ask for? I will definitely stay here again without a doubt!
Volga is STUNNING to look at, and I genuinely wanted to love it so bad, but the functionality did not keep up with the aesthetics, and as someone who travels a lot, the little things really do add up.
First of all, the lighting situation in the room?? So confusing, not intuitive at all, and I should not need a manual to turn on my lights. And the full body mirror— there is NO lighting around it. Do you know how hard it is to do your makeup or even just check your outfit in bad lighting??
Also, the shower has no hook to hang your towel (where am I supposed to put it??), and the toilet has no fan, which... we don't need to elaborate.
The speakeasy is actually really cool, and I loved the vibe, BUT if your room is anywhere close to it, good luck sleeping. The music was literally banging through the walls all night.
Breakfast was just okay. Nothing that would make me rush downstairs in the morning.
Besides that, the staff were friendly and attentive.
3/5.
I just remembered a really lovely experience I had with my brother and Gustavo when I stayed at the Volga hotel in Mexico City in April 2026 for my cousin’s wedding.
Gustavo was so so lovely to my brother and I, educating us on Mexican history and showing us kindness and respect. For me to remember this interaction nearly 2 months later speaks volumes!
The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the rooms were really clean. All of the staff were kind and accommodating, especially Arturo at the bar that made us the most delicious speciality drinks. Definitely will be coming back.
My room was perfect - modern and clean
Noisy rooftop bar from early morning - unavoidable noise pollution when trying to rest.
The restaurant served me a mushroom bourguignon with no mushrooms in it - just gravy and rice ?!?
My partner and I stayed at the Volga and could not recommend it enough! The Volga team, is both kind and attentive. Yaretzi helped us during our entire stay and made our first international a breeze. She helped us schedule our airport ride and pick up from the hotel using their car service. Would also recommend the driver! He picked us up directly from the airport and dropped us off seamlessly. :)
The hotel itself is stunning with ample amenities like bathrobes, slippers and laundry bags (that you can take home!), complimentary snacks in the minibar and 2x a day housekeeping. But even with all that, the real treasure here is the amazing, doting staff.
This is part one of my review as I only just checked in today. I would love to share my experience preceding arrival but I wanted to quickly share two examples of great customer service that I already encountered. Check in was handled professionally by Anagelli, she was very customer focused and very pleasant. Then next was the great attentive service I received from with Autouro and Jorge (hope I spelled thier names correctly), while visiting the restaurant. The chef also gets a shout out. The meal was delicious, fresh and excellently presented.
Great experience overall. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, complimentary breakfast was great. Dante and Yare were amazing. Dante especially, gave us a full tour of the hotel and shared the history behind the building and the architectural design. Would recommend and will definitely be back.
Great hotel the Grand Suite was perfect for our family of 3.
The service here was top notch. Yave and Dante took great care of us! If ever in Mexico City choose Volga for your luxury stay!
The stay here was perfect! The location eas central to everything. Rooms remained cleaned and turn down service provided nightly. Yave and Dante provided GREAT customer service and eas very attentive to our needs.
We had a lovely time at Volga. The location was perfect. Our room was compact but still had lots of luxuries. We couldn’t really hear the noise that other people have commented. Our room was on level 3. The breakfast is great and Dante at the reception was charming and helpful. The gym is small but well equipped and does the job.
Excellent stay at Volga! Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, and perfect location for walking. Dante was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Can’t wait to visit again soon!
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is so kind and helpful. Dante made our stay extra special. Would highly recommend staying at Hotel Volga.
This is definitely one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at, and the staff were extremely friendly, Dante to be specific, he was very nice and accommodating. Will be coming back here again
