Location
The location was ideal & the cleanliness & facilities were excellent. Checkin could not have been easier & the bonus was a lift up to the rooms.
Everything overall & ease of parking security. Parking is adjacent to check in & entry to accommodation. Accessories were excellent & plenty of coffee & milk, plus a bonus of an iron
The property was very clean and easy parking. Close to shops.
The rooms are small but comfortable.
Although it was above a hotel with poker machines, patrons and live music it was quiet upstairs in the room - excellent soundproofing.
Huge shower and large bathroom. Bed was comfortable enough. Staff I interacted with were friendly and welcoming. Room key secured elevator which was a good safety feature.
If you park in the car park they lock it from pub close time until 10am the next morning. Although they do warn you about this when you are checking in.
The location was excellent for us. We could just walk to the train station. Very much appreciated the off-street parking. The staff, especially the manager were terrific. Very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. It was pretty quiet considering it is an hotel. We were very pleased with our stay and intend to return.
The mattress was a bit soft for me but a small price to pay.
Beds very soft in middle.

Everything really.
No complaints
Convenient location
Some rooms a bit noisy
Great place to stay - clean and well priced
Location was good near Family
This visit was our fourth over last 2 years. Our pick for this side of Sydney, uttil this last stay - rooms normally clean & fresh for a hotel. Food is always very good - a very good chef
The Penhurst is advertised as "non smoking accommodation"
We were booked into Room 1 - it smelled of 'heavy smoking'. - the carpet had several areas of ground in snack food.
Was this room actually cleaned?
Whilst smoking would be hard to monitor, surely the cleaner would have noticed the strong smoking smell & freshened the room
very welcoming staff that assisted in everything
nothing I don't like
welcoming staff very helpful
there wasn't anything wrong.
Great location for where I needed to be during my stay. Bus stops within 100 metres and train station within 300 metres. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were modern and clean. Little things like hair dryer, iron and ironing board were supplied and it was much appreciated :-)
I feel the bed could do with an upgrade, as I feel the mattress could be firmer. However, it could be just my personal preference. I would also prefer if the hotel could supply guests with teaspoons instead of wooden sticks for making coffee and tea. A couple of biscuits would go a long way too.
