We had heard so many bad things about Canggu that we were honestly terrified before arriving — but this hotel completely changed our mind.
Located in a lovely, quiet area that wasn’t crowded at all, it was even easy to get around on foot, which we had really missed at our previous destinations in Bali.
We loved every little detail: the beautiful design, the pool, the peaceful atmosphere, the buggy service, the gorgeous shower with an open window looking onto the back of the villa, and especially the bed and cozy curtains that we could close in the evening and truly feel like we were escaping from the world.
The staff were incredibly attentive, the breakfast was great, and everything was simply thoughtfully done.
It was such a wonderful experience and easily one of our favorite stays in Bali. We left with a completely different impression of Canggu - and a big part of that was thanks to this hotel.

Dit is één van de beste 5 sterrenhotels in mijn leven (en ik heb er al 1000+ gedaan). Op Google Review heeft dit hotel 5/5 en dat is de enige juiste score, want het hotel is "perfect" in alle opzichten. Ik ben kritisch, maar ik kon geen enkel minpuntje vinden.
Ik verbleef 3 nachten in de Pavillion Suite als huwelijksreis en het vriendelijke én professionele personeel heeft ons echt in de watten gelegd. Het ontbijt was à la carte, maar je kreeg lekkere croissants, chocoladebroodjes en Frans brood en een fruitschotel als standaard erbij. We bezochten een bekende beach bar, maar we keerden snel terug naar het hotel waar het mooie zwembad met luxezetels en lekkere cocktails ons veel meer voldoening gaven.
De ligging is ook perfect. Dicht bij alles, maar toch rustig buiten het drukke Cianggu.
De eerste 3 nachten van mijn honeymoon waren supergeslaagd (de volgende 4 nachten in het allerslechtse hotel in Ubud echter niet) en wij komen zeker terug, maar dan voor een langer verblijf!

The hotel has got a beautiful design. It is quite conveniently located - a walking distance to many shops and cafes. The restaurant in the hotel offers a variety of tasty, local and western dishes with some healthy options, too. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive and always ready to help. A place to return to.

We found ourselves returning again and again to eat here, every dish was fresh, elevated, and deeply memorable.
​Warm, Flawless Service: Beyond the luxury and immaculate cleanliness, what truly sets this place apart is the incredible team. They didn’t just provide five star service they genuinely cared for us like family with such warmth, attentiveness, and kindness.
​This was, without a doubt, the most perfect vacation experience we have ever had. If you are looking for true elegance, inspiring design, and unmatched hospitality, look no further. We already cannot wait to come back!

Gorgeous property. Rooms and facilities amazing

Everything- it was stepping into a slice of Paradise on earth! The furnishing was exquisite but so warm and welcoming. All the staff were beautiful- so warm and attentive and nothing seemed to be a problem for them to do and always with a smile which we felt at all times were genuine as they really wanted to make guests feel like home. They took such effort to remember every guest’s name which is something I have never come across before in any resorts I have stayed across the world- what a beautiful extra personal touch! They also provided buggy rides to close by places. They also very kindly provided us a room to rest when our return flight got unexpectedly delayed which we were very grateful for.
The food was amazing- definitely one of the best breakfasts which endless choice and delicious fruits and juices.
The spa services were wonderful- definitely one of the best if not treatments my daughter and I have had.

La Reserve is truly one of the most special hotels we have ever visited. The amenities in the room are exceptional—they have thought of everything. The breakfast is the best we have ever had, and the afternoon tea is a wonderful touch. The buggy service is also incredibly helpful. Most importantly, every member of the staff is genuinely happy to help and goes above and beyond to make you feel like a king and queen during your stay.
The chaos of Canggu never reaches this place. La Reserve is a true oasis of rest, calm, and tranquility, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to everything. We loved every moment of our stay.
