My family and I are in New York celebrating my dad's 60th birthday, and I honestly couldn't leave without recognizing two people who made this trip so much more special. (And also how absolutely stunning this hotel is)

Before we arrived, Carla Louis helped me pull off a surprise for my dad that ended up being one of the most meaningful moments of the trip. I had sent over photos of him from different stages of his life, and Carla took the time to print them and have them displayed in his room before check-in. Watching my dad walk in and see photos of himself spanning six decades was something I'll never forget. It made him feel incredibly loved and celebrated, and I'm so grateful for the care and thought she put into making it happen.

I also have to give a huge shoutout to Liz at the front desk..an angel!! From the moment we arrived, she was kind, welcoming, and unbelievably helpful. She made sure my parents' room and mine were next to each other, put together an amazing list of recommendations for us, and when I mentioned an issue with one of the curtains in my room, she immediately jumped into action and helped get me moved to a different room.

What impressed me most wasn't just how she treated us, it was watching her interact with everyone around her. Every guest seemed to receive the same level of warmth, patience, and genuine care. You can tell she loves what she does, and she's exactly the kind of person who makes a hotel stay memorable.

Every interaction we had made us feel taken care of, and that's something you don't find everywhere. My dad hasn't been back to New York since he was 18 years old, so this trip meant a lot to our family. Carla and Liz played a huge role in making it feel truly special.

And yes the hotel is as beautiful as it looks in the photos!

We liked the room, ours was quite spacious for NYC and we loved the floor to ceiling windows which gave us a great view. Bed was comfy albeit the pillows were lumpy.
Staff very friendly in particular Angel so was helpful when we were trying to get a cab to leave

Ambiance

Property had the outdoors pool witch was something on this heat wave - but wait a minute
They did tel you would not be able to use it after 12pm
They nor informed in messages nor direct when doing check in - in the afternoon when best time for pool the they sell for everyone pool pass for money
Same if you at a hotel if there are still pases available you need to buy day pool pass!!!!!!!
So general public is more welcome than you
And to look and book you need by yourself via hotels web site / my mom doesn’t speak English and we asked in a resection area to make a reservation for a pool- we were told it is not the scope pf his duties and continued rolling eyes and telling in small script is written somewhere..

This hotel is phenomenal. Great views, modern amenities, solid gym, rooftop bar, top tier location, and the staff are terrific.

I travel a lot and have had mixed experiences with NYC hotels, but this one takes the cake and I’ll be staying here every time going forward.

Liz and David helped me at check in and made my stay incredible with a great room and really friendly service. Huge fan of the team they’ve got here, already looking forward to my next trip back. Shoutout Virgin hotels!

Für uns war es das erste Mal in NYC und wir sind sehr glücklich damit, dass wir uns für das Virgin entschieden haben.
Es ist sehr zentral gelegen und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Parks (Bryant Park und Madison Square Park) und Shopping-Möglichkeiten (Macy’s) erreicht man in wenigen Gehminuten. Wir waren 7 Nächte dort und hatten ein Zimmer im 22. Stock mit Blick auf das Empire State Building. Die Aussicht auf die Skyline und vor allem das Empire State Building war einfach atemraubend – sowohl bei Tag als auch bei Nacht. Das Zimmer war groß genug und das Bett war komfortabel. Trotz des Trubels und Lärms von Midtown, war es ziemlich ruhig im Zimmer. Alles war sauber und es gab gute Ablagemöglichkeiten. Uns hat auch die Trennung von Dusche, die wirklich groß genug ist und Toilette gefallen.

Zum Rest des Hotels: Wir waren einmal auf der Terrasse des Restaurants im 3. Stock etwas trinken und das Ambiente ist sehr schön.
Den Pool haben wir an unserem letzten Morgen bei wunderschönem Wetter benutzt und gleich dort gefrühstückt (überraschend gute Pancakes und Rühreier, preislich in Ordnung). Es war einfach ein ganz besonderes Gefühl, am Pool mit Blick auf die tolle Skyline zu sein. Da meine Tochter erst 11 Jahre alt ist, war dies nur bis um 11.30 Uhr möglich, aber das wussten wir im Vorhinein. Dennoch wäre es schön, wenn es hier keine Altersbeschränkung gegeben hätte, denn es gibt ohnehin nicht viele Kinder im Hotel und diese machen auch keinen Lärm.
Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hat bei sämtlichen Nachfragen nett und rasch reagiert.

Alles in Allem war es ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt und wenn wir nochmals nach NYC kommen sollten, dann gerne wieder ins Virgin.
