There’s a few things that people should know which are not immediately clear when booking this hotel.

First, we booked on the understanding that pool facilities were fully included. They are not. You may additional charges for reserving a lounger or cabana at select times. Depending on the time slot selected (e.g. morning or afternoon), the cost increases. I would not expect this system for the price that I paid, and hotel guests should be given priority.

The lift systems are absolutely bizarre and were not explained to us on arrival. Throughout our stay we did not appear to be alone on this, and guests and visitors appeared bewildered. Why could you not simply have a classic up and down button with key fob to ensure security? Minor point in the grand scheme of things, but after extensive travel it is seriously frustrating when you just want to your room!

The final point is that we had items stolen from our room. This cannot be proven but there is no other plausible explanation for the bag and receipt for an expensive item to be left, but not the item itself. We only had the room made up every second day and noticed this when packing for the next leg of our trip. Upon check-out the hotel were very apologetic and advised they would look into this, but we have still heard nothing further. They also said they would waive any charges to our room as a result, which they did not do.

All in all, not worth the price and we sadly won’t be back.

It was frustrating to find out when you arrive that the pool is only available to guests from 8-11:30. Also, one of our days they chose not to open the pool because of rain but it was not raining at all from 8-11:30. It felt frustrating to not have access.

The front desk was a disaster. I tried to book a second night and every person I talked I had to explain everything and the to told me they put me in some sort of waiting list cause they couldn’t find the previous person who put me in the list. This happened like 6/7. Many of them were very rude. The second check in was bad too, I came after the expected time of check in and the room wasn’t available, I came back an hour later and still wasn’t ready. I finally went to the room and th “Empire State view” could only be viewed standing in the corner of the room. I tried to change and they told me I should have arrived before which doesn’t make sense cause they said they didn’t have them ready before. Just felt they were messing with me and felt very disrespected.

Breakfast could be improved, opening hours of the restaurant could be extended.

Had a couple of issues with the room that were not resolved during the stay. Had they been resolved this would have almost been a 10 out of 10.

Also, fire alarm went off more than once during the stay at awkward hours, and the instructions on evacuation were not always clear. Not sure if this is normal.

Breakfast was average.

With all of that, would I give it another go? Yes.

Aucune transparence concernant les conditions d’accès à la piscine. À aucun moment il n’est clairement indiqué que les enfants ne sont autorisés qu’entre 8h et 11h30. C’est pourtant une information essentielle qui devrait être communiquée dès la réservation.

Nous avions choisi cet hôtel en grande partie pour sa piscine. Après de longues journées de visite à New York, c’était le critère numéro un pour permettre à nos enfants de se détendre en fin de journée. Quelle déception de découvrir une fois sur place qu’ils en sont exclus à partir de 11h30.

De plus, le personnel à l’accueil est particulièrement désagréable, peu aimable et donne clairement l’impression que les familles avec enfants sont une contrainte. À aucun moment nous ne nous sommes sentis les bienvenus.

Le plus choquant reste la gestion de l’espace piscine : pendant que les enfants profitent du seul créneau qui leur est accordé, une « influenceuse » accompagnée de son photographe monopolise les lieux pendant de longues minutes, enchaînant les séances photo et des poses parfois très suggestives devant les familles. Personne n’intervient. Le personnel semble bien plus préoccupé par le respect des restrictions imposées aux enfants que par le confort et le respect de l’ensemble des clients.

Au final, cet établissement est loin d’être kids friendly. Si les familles avec enfants ne sont pas les bienvenues, il serait plus honnête de l’indiquer clairement avant la réservation. Nous avons payé un hôtel avec piscine pour en profiter en famille, pas pour découvrir une fois sur place des restrictions non annoncées, un accueil déplorable et une gestion des installations aussi décevante.

The reception was a bit lazy as they never wanted to help with anything. They even got the wrong car from the parking lot as they more concerned with appreciating girls in the lobby

Elevators were terrible. It’s not a hard system, but getting an elevator took way too long. Also, we planned to do a pool afternoon, and we couldn’t get into the pool at all- you had to have reservations and they were sold out for the whole day.
