Pros:

Location was great. The building had a lot of history.

Cons:

No parking. Would have been nice to be offered something towards the cost of the public car park.

We were disappointed in the evening meal. The fish (of the fish and chips) was overcooked.

Brilliant lovely staff
Pros:

Cracking period Inn in the heart of the town. Close to the Abbey and lots of lovely shops and restaurants. Good food albeit a limited menu but very good quality. Plenty of extra tea and coffee making

Overnight stay
Pros:

Staff were great, very welcoming.
Plenty of charm in the building
Room was a good size and there was plenty of water etc available.
Slept well and you could not hear the pub.
Value for money was excellent.

Cons:

Shower size was very small, the bathroom was big so could easily accommodate a lager shower.

Fabulous stay
Pros:

The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, overlooking Battle high street. Large wardrobe and dressing table with water, tea, coffee and biscuits and further supplies on the landing to help yourself if you run out - a really nice touch. Spotlessly clean. Bed was super comfy. They even cleaned and made the bed during my 2 night stay which I wasn't expecting. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. It's an old building so I could hear talking and music from the bar below but that stopped about 1230 on a Saturday night. Fine for me as I'm a night owl. We used to stay at Chequers when visiting Battle as it has parking but after a few bad experiences will be staying at the Bull in future. Top marks guys!

Very friendly staff. Very nice room and comfortable bed. Spacious shower.

There is a bar across the street that can get very loud in the late evening. The bathroom could have used some towel racks or hooks.

De setting, lokatie, alles ok

Cons:

De kamer was totaal niet geïsoleerd tegen het geluid uit de pub. Dat viel tegen. Het was alsof mijn bed in de pub stond. Alleen vloer ertussen, het leek alsof het geluid vooral via de muurplinten en muur, door kieren door kwam. De pub ging gelukkig steeds om 24.00 uur dicht. Ik was er 2 nachten. Op zaterdagavond was er een besloten feest met vol discomuziek.
Om reden dat ik voor dit ongemak was gewaarschuwd op de site had ik er rekening mee gehouden, maar geluid was veel harder dan gedacht. Ik weet niet of dat in andere kamers hetzelfde is.
Het zal mij niet weerhouden om weer voor deze pub te kiezen. Verder prima plek.

A Wonderful Stay at The Bull Inn
Pros:

We recently stayed at The Bull Inn in Battle and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Breakfast was excellent, with generous portions and great quality, locally sourced ingredients, but the standout was the service. The staff were friendly and professional, and the landlords set a tone of genuine hospitality that made the whole stay feel relaxed and comfortable. A wonderful place to stay in Battle - highly recommended! Will be back soon!

Really friendly staff, beautiful room. Tv was good though couldn't get all channels to work.

Early morning glass recycling collection (?) Not clear if related to the pub or the local refuse people. It went on ages.

Vriendelijk en gezellig verblijf
Pros:

Het ontbijt was niet inbegrepen bij de boeking, dus apart besteld en apart afgerekend. We werden uitstekend geholpen en het was erg lekker; alles ging op!
Ik had een erg mooie rustieke kamer; spijtig dat we er maar 1 nacht bleven.
Overigens, het Italiaanse restaurant een paar deuren verder is een echte aanrader!

Cons:

Eerlijk is eerlijk; bij goed weer is het niet erg dat de parkeerplaats, beveiligd overigens!, een stukje lopen is.
