The Ned Doha

Our stay at The Ned Doha was exceptional, and what impressed us most was the genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and thoughtful service throughout our visit.

We were three adults — my father, my sister, and myself — and had originally booked two Cosy rooms. To our pleasant surprise, the hotel upgraded both rooms at no additional charge and arranged them next to each other with a shared private entrance. This thoughtful gesture, which we hadn’t even requested, made moving between the rooms incredibly convenient while maintaining our privacy. We also used the shared entrance area to store our suitcases after unpacking.

The rooms were beautifully designed, spacious, exceptionally clean, peaceful, and comfortable. I particularly appreciated the practical layout, with the wardrobes and bathroom positioned near the entrance, providing privacy for anyone changing clothes or using the bathroom without disturbing others.

The coffee and tea station was cleverly concealed inside a dedicated cabinet, keeping everything organised and uncluttered. The beautiful patterned teapot and cups were lovely touches. The bed was exceptionally spacious and comfortable, easily accommodating my sister and me, and even the room slippers were surprisingly comfortable!

The soundproofing was excellent. We also loved the balcony and floor-to-ceiling glass doors, which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful view from inside, even during hot weather.

The hotel’s interior design was stunning, combining elegant wood panelling, marble, warm lighting, beautiful ceiling details, and carefully selected furniture.

We also received a lovely welcome arrangement with a delicious complimentary cake, still and sparkling water, and a thoughtful welcome card celebrating Middle Eastern hospitality.

Housekeeping was outstanding. We requested a female housekeeper to clean the bathroom and coffee corner, and the hotel accommodated our request immediately.

Absolutely stunning design

The Ned is a beautiful hotel. The atmosphere is calming and relaxing and the staff are very hospitable and caring. The location is very convenient too. My experience was exceptional and I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough; their attention to detail is impeccable. Special shoutout to RJ & Gamze for their hospitality.

The Ned Doha: Beautiful Hotel, Poor Management, Exceptional Staff

My experience at The Ned Doha was deeply disappointing, particularly because of the hotel's poor management, lack of communication and failure to take responsibility when things went wrong.

One of my biggest concerns was the swimming pool. During my stay, external day passes and pool events significantly affected the experience of resident guests. The atmosphere was frequently crowded, with smoking and alcohol consumption, yet there was little transparency about these arrangements before booking. A luxury hotel should not prioritise commercial revenue at the expense of its resident guests.

Management was equally disappointing. Emails repeatedly went unanswered, complaints were poorly handled and there was a concerning absence of accountability. Even when my eye mask went missing from my room, management failed to acknowledge my emails or offer an apology. This was particularly distressing alongside unresolved maintenance problems.

The food was also inconsistent, including stale bread served during afternoon tea and breakfast.

Hospitality should be grounded in dignity, care and accountability, not simply beautiful architecture, exclusivity and commercial interests. Unfortunately, there appeared to be a significant disconnect between senior leadership and the everyday experiences of guests.

However, the frontline team deserves extraordinary recognition.

Fadhiya was an absolute superstar, demonstrating exceptional kindness, warmth and genuine care.

Gamza was wonderful, thoughtful and incredibly attentive throughout my stay.

Rajesh delivered outstanding service with professionalism, generosity and dedication.

Anggi and Patience from housekeeping also deserve sincere recognition for their kindness and hard work.

Top Recommendation: The hotel exceeded all expectations with its stunning interior design, wonderful atmosphere, and exceptionally helpful, friendly staff.

Prime Location: Perfectly situated in the heart of the city, just minutes away from major landmarks and shopping areas.

Exceptional Dining: The restaurants served delicious food and gourmet pastries.
