I liked that it was a nice and cheap hotel for me to book when alot of others were sold out around this time
The room looked nothing like the pictures thats shown for the room type I bought, the soundproofing was terrible so I heard every door slam constantly, the fitted sheet wasn't fitted and looked and felt like a table cloth, there was no plug near the desk so I couldn't use the kettle safely, the window looked out onto a fence instead of literally anything else, the shower pressure was non existant and if I wanted to use the toilet in the night I had to leave the light to warm up for 10 minutes before I could use it because it was so dim, the room was much smaller than it looked and the curtains were flimsy and just overall not worth what I paid considering the ibis styles hotel was £5 more per night and looks so much nicer
Friendly staff and cleanish are the only positives I have. Entire place is very tired and smells a bit funky. Creaky floorboards. Doors that slam. No sound-proofing. No lift. No air-con. Very unhealthy and limited menu in “restaurant”. No options for food allergies. Hot food not hot. Drinks expensive -£8 a beer from a can. Very hard beds and pillows. Only 1 tv Chanel available. No other shops or restaurants around for quite a distance. Hopefully my boss didn’t pay too much for this place.
I'm afraid the breakfast was very overpriced for what it was. Croissants were stuffed in a jar and I only had 3 pieces of toast.
I struggled to get a good night's sleep as the pipes or radiators (not sure what was making the noise) rattled on and off throughout the night! Please could something be done about that as I'm sure I'm not the only one to have heard them.
Unde era plasata proprietatea ca locatie, personal amabil
Era frig. Caldura era la minim. Inghetam in camera. Am cerut sa incalzeasca si au dat putin. Pe jos era mizerie. Praful nu era sters peste tot. Prosoapele miroseau a mucegai. Micul dejun inclus era o mizerie sinistra. Mierea era zaharisita. Cerealele n-au gust de nimic. Cafeaua nasoala. Cine naiba mananca fasole dimineața in afara de englezi.
Staff were very friendly. Good location
Very run down in the bedrooms. Very cramped. Wouldn’t meet health and safety standards exposed wires and too many cables on extensions. Also bathroom was cold as radiator wasn’t working. Reported it but said happy to give me an electric heater for the bathroom!!! I refused due to health and safety. They don’t clean / tidy rooms daily so bathroom facilities was not topped up. Or toilet paper.
The location and that I had stayed here before
The breakfast, was expensive £12.50 for literally: 1 rather bacon, scrambled egg, 1/2 a tomato, a spoonful of beans and a hash brown, £1.50 for the tiniest slice of black pudding ever. It was also cold.
I think it was a good experience staying with the royal hotel. The place seems very cosy and cute. The staff is professional and I would definitely recommend!! :)
Beautiful cosy hotel. Near the airport so really convenient as well, and you get some good quality food.
Bar/restaurant area is really nice to have some drinks & spend some quality time.
Quiet got two good sleeps, friendly staff overall good for your money and clean, highly recommend food good too nice garden
Nothing they do a great job
It was near to the airport and staff were friendly
It is very outdated and no fire doors on rooms. Stained carpets, grouting been done on tiles in bathroom and on tiles and plaster around by shower. Dirty skirting board by the window.
Location
Everything. Its not a hotel , more a HMO. Room was cramped , toilet and shower room minute. No hot water or sufficient water pressure in the shower in the morning. Curtains were dirty, room was dirty. One wall light had masking tape around it and didnt work - Room 14. Breakfast was overpriced and undercooked.
Location to the NEC
Everything!
