The pool was working.
The owners had double booked and wanted to take me to a different location, very dishonest behaviour.
So I had booked this place from May 27th for 4 nights which I actually went and spent my time there. Apparently, they had double booked and on the last day, they wanted me to leave to a different location which didn't make sense to me that they prioritize the other tenant over me and wanted me to move. I refused to take them up on a different house they were giving me and demanded for a refund.
To try and convince me, the lady even asked me where I was going to stay since there were no more houses in Watamu, strange for her to ask when she has one to give. Also, how does she know about all the houses in Watamu?
When I asked for a refund, they asked me to cancel on the app but everyone knows cancellation comes with a fee which they wanted me to bear when it wasn't my fault. So that is when they cancelled on their side and booked me for a different day in June then on that day, they marked me as 'she didn't come'. They paid back my money less kshs 217 and I had to call and ask for the money. They paid the remaining 200 Kenyan shillings but still owe me 17 Kenyan shillings (yes, why keep it if it's mine when I otherwise paid you in full?). So I ended up booking a hotel in Malindi.
They really inconvenienced me.
No one cleans the rooms on a daily.
The fridge smelt really bad.
The shower water is just cold.
The workers mishandle your things when they touch them.
I had the most wonderful stay at Tulivu! 😌

There was a serious water problem and some neglect in the bathroom.

It's well located just on the main road and adjacent to Watamu Mall, near the market and the beach. Very quiet and private from the outside, with a security guard on duty 24/7. A sizeable warm swimming pool that I loved and enjoyed very much.
Room service, cleaning, and changing of bed linens. I prefer changing sheets every 2 days and having the room cleaned daily. The rooms are small, and there is not enough wardrobe space, but we managed.
The visit was marvellously fine
