Cool
Pros:

Clean and extremely comfortable bed. Reminded me of dorm rooms. I had my own bathroom. There is a communal kitchen with fridge, Keurig with coffee, microwave, ice maker, location was great

Cons:

No a/c just a fan.

Recommend and it’s a great idea. No host but easy check-in and access
Pros:

Clean and close to downtown. Coffee and kitchen facilities

Cons:

We reserved a queen bed and it was a full bed making it a restless night. Disappointed

Check in instructions need to be updated.
Pros:

Place was really clean, bed was very comfortable. Nice art and view from the front of the building. Room was large.

Cons:

The instructions for check in are out of date on Booking.com. There is no staff on site. This makes me really uncomfortable traveling alone. Additionally there is a 6 digit code to get into the hotel that you supposedly receive in your email, I needed to call for it. Then as I was getting a second load from my car I forgot one digit, and couldn't get in. Fortunately someone let me in, and the doors of the rooms don't automatically lock. No idea what I would have done in that situation without my phone if I hadn't been lucky.ñThere are cameras in the halls but this doesn't make me feel safer, just increases the chances that a murderer could be caught. 😆

Check out time is 10:30. I met the hosts while leaving and they said they just got the place. They seemed nice and competent so I believe this spot will improve. I really didn't like the long code to get in. I came to Astoria to see a show at the Liberty, and I would have been nervous standing with my phone out to look at my code trying to get in, but Astoria seems very safe, especially this location. To me, an unstaffed location is like the inconvenience of an Airbnb.

Comfy
Pros:

Only problem we had is that we got locked out of room. Since it's a remote hotel there's no one that dan immediately help us. The phone # we had if we needed assistance was not set up to accept messages. So we had to call multiple times before someone answered. Fortunately, when we finally got thru the problem was resolved

Cons:

Same as above + if u don't like small rooms it might be an issue

Perfect for a short stopover over, close to lots of restaurants, boutique shops and the bay front.
Pros:

Spotlessly clean, modern with free on site parking

Cons:

Kitchen and lounge facilities are “communal”, but they too are extremely v C lean and very well equipped.

Pros:

New renovation. Looked like a new building inside. Very clean. Great location. Great price.

Cons:

No AC. The small room had two ceiling fans that were quiet and efficient, but it was still a little warm and stuffy.

Nice place except for security issue
Pros:

Clean, comfortable, good location to downtown

Cons:

The Lock on window was broken and any body with knowledge of this could enter the room from the parking lot. I called about this and was told “ it’s been like that for 1 month now but don’t worry as nothing bad is going to happen —the part is on order“ ….. this should be disclosed before renting the room out …. It may be a “ safe” area but one should be able to secure their room . Failure to disclose this to guests ahead of time is criminal

It was a quick turnaround. If I could keep the window open, I would definitely stay there again, but it was just too war
Pros:

I actually liked the property. It’s a genius idea. I like the cleanliness. The bed was very comfortable.

Cons:

The room was very stuffy. I couldn’t keep the window open at night because it’s a big window on the ground level. So it wouldn’t have been secure. The fan didn’t really help. It was just so stuffy. I wish there were some sort of air-conditioning. Or at least a secure window. It really needed to be opened. I didn’t sleep but one hour and 36 minutes. Because it was just too warm.

Pros:

Mattress and ceiling fans.

Cons:

Rooms (especially smaller rooms) could use A/C. It wasn't hot this weekend but it was very humid, which made the smaller rooms especially, very stuffy and uncomfortable. Some A/C would help with that. Also, there should be a parking space for every room.

Some things excellent, some things not.
Pros:

Location was great, it was clean and we could tell they put a lot of thought into the layout. Shared kitchen was clean and stocked well. Other guests were respectful and friendly.

Cons:

It was so hot in the room. There is nothing air conditioning and the plug in fan were not cutting it. Our friends on the other side with the morning sun had to leave their early because the temperature was so hot in their room.

Tiny room but nice clean room.
Pros:

Easy self check-in process, clean room, great location. The hotel appeared empty. We didn't see a single person.

Cons:

The room was so tiny the bed basically took up the entire room and there was no room to put suitcases. It would be more suitable for an individual person.
