Horrible Experience ××××××
Pros:

Our stay at Medina Hotel Samarkand was, unfortunately, one of the worst hotel experiences our family has ever had. We stayed in two rooms, and what should have been an enjoyable visit to Uzbekistan turned into an incredibly stressful experience because of the hotel's lack of customer service, professionalism, and hospitality. The hotel advertises itself as a 4-star property, but in my experience it does not meet that standard. The facilities, cleanliness, and overall service fell well below what I would expect from a 4-star hotel.

From the beginning, the staff came across as rude and unwelcoming. The rooms had a strong unpleasant odor, the hallways were dark, and overall the hotel did not feel well maintained.

The most concerning issue was that all five members of our group woke up each morning with large insect bites. Since this happened in both of our rooms, we strongly suspect there was a bed bug problem. This was extremely alarming and unacceptable.

Our interactions with the front desk only made matters worse. The woman we believe was named Mira was, in our experience, confrontational and raised her voice at us instead of trying to help resolve our concerns.

When we asked to speak with management, we were told the owner's son was the hotel manager. Rather than addressing our concerns or working toward a solution, he spent a significant amount of time showing us security camera footage to argue that our "Do Not Disturb" sign was the reason our room had not been cleaned. Instead of focusing on the larger issues we had raised, the situation became an unnecessary argument that wasted a great deal of our vacation time.

More than an hour later, what appeared to be the owner's entire family including the owner, arrived. Instead of helping calm the situation, it felt as though they were all confronting us at once.

Cons:

As soon as we checked out, the hotel proactively canceled our booking on booking.com in hopes that we wouldn't be able to write a review and to charge us a cancellation fee. I have since contacted Ministry of Tourism to file an official complaint.

Great hotel with helpful staff, good prices and wonderful breakfast!
Pros:

Very good breakfast, many varieties, breakfast restaurant situated on beautiful roof terrace. Good location with several good restaurants nearby. Helpful staff, big rooms, well-working AC and good price.

Cons:

There was some water leaking from shower but this was not big thing. Otherwise everything was great. Really recommend this place!

Pros:

Basen, wystrój, lodówka w pokoju. Obfite śniadania

Cons:

Chłopak w barze totalnie nie mówił po angielsku. Nawet na migi ciężko było o cokolwiek go zapytać. Obsługa na recepcji bardzo miła.
Był jakiś problem z lodówką - co jakiś czas się włączała i wydawała dziwne dźwięki - przez co nie można było spać w spokoju.

Понравилось все, никаких претензий, спасибо персоналу, помогуют с любыми просьбами! Тихий, уютный отель, расположенный в дали от суеты но в центре города. После экскурсиий в жаркий день и вечерних прогулок приятно попить коктейль или чай возле бассейна в тишине и спокойствий

Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist, auch zu Fuß, nicht weit von den wesentlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten entfernt. Es war auch sehr sauber und gepflegt, wurde auch am späten Nachmittag noch gereinigt. Ein Restaurant gibt es aber aktuell nicht. Hierzu kann man an der Straße entlang aber genügend Möglichkeiten finden, ebenso wie ein nettes Café. Das Frühstück bietet für alle Nationen genügend Auswahl. Ebenso sprechen die meisten Angestellten auch englisch.
