Overall the stay was fine but not being able to adjust the air conditioning in the room was frustrating and the wifi not

Cons:

The wifi was terrible, the tv only had 7 channels, the air conditioning was not that great, and there’s no full length mirror in the room.

Pros:

The location was perfect! The staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The facilities were impeccable. I highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay again.

Passable, but not worth the $
Pros:

Location is great, central but yet away from the noise and crowds of rua Augusta. Best part is that you can walk to Chiado, Alfama and the river front in minutes. Many good food options without going into the tourist traps. You can hear tram passing by outside from your room (even with window closed) if the room is facing Rua de Prata, but it’s not obstructive - more like white noise. Breakfast was good, variety of eggs, fruits, cereals, various kinds of breads/cheeses/cold cuts and bakery. with fresh tea/coffee made to order. Breakfast staff was very nice. Room was genuinely good size! And hotel lobby, lifts, common areas are clean.

Cons:

Cleaning was disappointing - on day 1 there was dust on surfaces in the room like open shelves, which was not cleaned throughout my 6 day stay. Beds aren’t the best - they squeak, mattress sinks in and thin pillows. Most disappointing is the air conditioning - I had 2 rooms at this hotel, in one of the rooms the aircon kept switching off every 3 hours; even after complaining to front desk they could not figure out the root cause or fix it (they kept saying we’re talking to engineering, and every time I followed up it was a different person who seemed unaware of the issue - this made the room terribly suffocating especially during night as you wake up to a heat/no air circulation. This is either some mid configuration or their system is broken. Does not qualify them for a 4 star if basics like aircon don’t work consistently esp in August! TV does not have streaming service and the smart tv function does not work - not a deal breaker, but not great. Would I stay here again? Perhaps, but I’d search for cheaper more value for money properties first!

Brilliant stay
Pros:

Lovely hotel close to the metro, trams and lots of sights.
Good size deluxe room, plenty of fresh towels, room spotless, bed huge and comfy, bathroom good size.
Staff very friendly and welcoming.
