No car park. I wish I had known before we arrived that there was no parking. Driving along the narrow streets is an experience and to get to the hotel and find no parking was disappointing. The nearest car park was 4/500 metres away. £26 for 2 days.

The catering is the real issue.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food really wasn't great, I'm not a big eater but the portions were small even for me and the food quality wasn't the best. The evening staff were lovely otherwise.

We had breakfast the following morning and found the staff rude, wasn't asked if we had intolerances or allergies (I myself am intolerant to mushrooms) so when asked that the breakfast have no mushrooms the staff member scoffed and made a snarky comment to another member of staff. When the food did arrive it was cold.

Nothing. We loved it.

There were no negative points to mention.

We stayed two nights, Monday - Wednesday. I paid a high price for a luxury room, which was great, BUT (yes big fat but comes in) even though due to the building being old and squeaky we were not prepared how loud the second night was. People that stayed above us were constantly walking from one site to the other like if they were practicing a parade march and it lasted till late at night and started again from 7am! And if you have been in an old building you know the floor is so squeaky that it feels like at any moment they will be falling through :( it is definitely not worth paying extra money.

Room was lovely, could have been cleaner. The noise was bad from from the room above us, very squeaky floorboards.

We could hear the floor above making a noise on our ceiling and waking us up in the middle of the night

Double bed was very small, as was the room. Staff not welcoming or particularly friendly. Dropped in for a nightcap after lovely fish & chips at the Magpie Cafe and was told the bar closed at 10pm. They started clearing glasses at 9.30 - 9.45pm. No one on site after 10pm. Tolerable for 1 night stay.

Nothing the weekend was really enjoyable.

The music from the pub was insanely loud, literally sounded like the musician was in our rooms. We’d had no notice that this was going to be happening on the night of our stay. Between the late night music and the early morning rubbish and delivery trucks (at least we were warned about the latter!), none of us got a great night’s sleep.
