Modern and stylish accommodation with a great location
Pros:

The accommodation was very modern, stylishly furnished and clean. We especially appreciated the convenient location. The old town was easily reachable on foot and the beach was only about a 10-minute walk away. For guests who want to go swimming at Rethymno’s city beach, the location is therefore very practical – although, in our opinion, there are more beautiful beaches in Crete. Being able to reach many places by walking was something we really appreciated during our stay.

The breakfast was à la carte and served at a nearby café rather than directly at the accommodation. This was not immediately clear from the booking information, so it might be helpful to make this more visible for future guests. The breakfast quality itself was good. However, the selection may feel a little limited depending on individual preferences. We also felt that the beverage options could be improved. Only one complimentary drink is included, even though free water is provided. It would have been a nice addition to be able to choose both one hot drink (coffee or tea) AND one cold drink (fresh juice).

Cons:

Unfortunately, the location also comes with one disadvantage, especially for guests staying in rooms with an outdoor jacuzzi. These rooms face the street and due to the nearby bars, there was loud music every night until at least 3–4 a.m. Even with the windows and exterior doors closed, the bass could still clearly be heard, which may make falling asleep difficult, especially for light sleepers.

Sadly, we also had an unpleasant experience with an arranged transfer. During the entire journey, the driver was repeatedly using his phone to write messages and search online – at times even with both hands. This made us feel very unsafe during the drive. We have had several transfers and taxi rides in Crete during different stays and have never experienced anything this reckless before. Even if a driver is familiar with the roads, not paying full attention to the traffic can lead to dangerous situations and puts passengers at unnecessary risk. We decided not to officially report the incident, although such behavior can be heavily penalized in Greece. We informed the team about what had happened and they handled the matter. At least, the driver apologized for his behaviour, which we appreciated. For our return transfer, a different driver was arranged with whom we felt much safer.

Despite these points, we had a pleasant stay overall and appreciated the modern design, cleanliness and central location of the accommodation.

La suite avec jacuzzi était vraiment top, la terrasse est très spacieuse.
C'est vraiment très bien situé, tout peut se faire à pied.
On avait une voiture qu'on a pu garer au parking de la marina.

Idéalement placé et corfortable
Pros:

L’emplacement est idéal, pour profiter du centre, de la mer, et des restaurants.
Le bain est un vrai plus, literie confortable.

Royale accommodatie ; wel wat gehorig
Pros:

De locatie is top; heel centraal (dat heeft ook een keerzijde, zie hierna).
Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Schoonmaak vindt desgewenst dagelijks plaats.
De kamer is ruim, de douche erg krachtig, de bedden liggen erg goed.
Wij hadden een kamer met jacuzzi op het balkon en dat was heerlijk; uitzicht op palmbomen en heerlijk bubbelen.
Het ontbijt was royaal (maar ook daarover is meer te zeggen, zie hierna)
Al met al een prima accomodatie.

Cons:

De centrale locatie betekent ook dat het geluid van de clubs tot diep in de nacht (een keer tot vier uur) te horen is. De ‘barstraat’ bevindt zich recht onder het balkon. Met de luiken en dubbel glas wordt e.e.a. aardig tegengehouden maar de bassen blijven hoorbaar. Sommige gasten slapen met oordopjes vernamen we.

En het ontbijt: dat is in een restaurant een klein stukje verderop. Alleen tussen 9.00 en 12.00 uur. Effectief start het pas op om 9.00 dus op zijn vroegst heb je tegen 9.30 ontbijt. Dat neemt een flinke hap uit je dag. Het is wel een erg royaal ontbijt: je kiest van een kaart en kunt daar koffie/thee of jus d’orange bij krijgen.

En tot slot: ‘uitzicht op zee’ is meer een uitzicht op een haven en een betonnen dam. De foto’s op internet suggereren dat er strand voor het hotel ligt maar dat is niet het geval, het strand is zo’n 200 meter verderop.

La habitación no deja entrar nada de luz las cortinas van automatizadas, casi todo y la ubicación en una zona llena de restaurantes y tiendas

Very clean and new hotel with large beautiful rooms and excellent AC but no pool and a bit outside the main attractions
Pros:

The responsiveness of the staff and the manager was really exceptional. We had a small issue with the bathroom that made a noise and they offered to reimburse one night. Not expected but greatly appreciated. Also the room is extremely nice.

Cons:

No pool in the hotel, the location is outside of the city center. Our room had a huge jacuzzi inside the room but we only used it once.

Ottima soluzione per girare creta
Pros:

La struttura è nel centro della città. Retimo è un ottimo punto per riuscire a girare Creta, in particolare le spiagge del sud meno affollate.
Nella camera era presente una jacuzzi e il letto era molto comodo.

Cons:

Purtroppo (e per fortuna) essendo in centro città la sera c’era musica fino a tardi e durante la notte non era possibile tenere le finestre aperte per il rumore.
Finestre ben insonorizzate.

Super emplacement, très belle chambre
Pros:

L'hôtel est très bien situé, dans une petite rue charmante et vraiment très proche du port et de l'animation. Le hall d'entrée et la chambre sentaient très bon, tout était propre ! Il y avait un petit balcon aussi très agréable.

Cons:

L'insonorisation est parfois légère, mais ça ne nous a pas dérangé plus que ça. Sinon parfait.
