Beautiful hotel, but a very disappointing experience. I would not stay here again.
Pros:

The view, décor, and overall appearance of the hotel were impressive. The property looks luxurious and has a good location.

Cons:

My stay was extremely disappointing. The hotel was crowded, service was slow, and several advertised amenities were unavailable. The Gold Lounge and swimming pool were closed for renovation, and I was not informed before arrival. As a result, I paid for a Gold experience but was unable to enjoy its full benefits.

The room had multiple issues. The two iPads did not work, the shower head was clogged, the toilet seat remote was not functioning, one of the shades was broken, and the blackout shades did not properly block sunlight. It felt like the guest rooms needed renovation more than the facilities that were closed.

Overall, the hotel did not meet the standards expected for the price paid, and the lack of communication regarding the closures made the experience even more frustrating.

If it weren’t for the following staff members, this review would easily be 0. I want to highly commend:

-The lady at the lobby desk during check-out: She was incredibly sweet, professional, and had an amazing attitude that genuinely improved our last impression.
-The valet and outdoor staff for their efficiency and warm welcome.
-The housekeeping team and the breakfast restaurant staff for their excellent service.
-The lobby café staff downstairs for their top-tier hospitality.

The ground staff and the sweet lady at check-out work incredibly hard, but the management and front desk during check-in are severely lacking. For the hefty amount we paid, we expected seamless luxury, not ignored requests and attitude

Cons:

-Delayed Check-in & Attitude Issues: We booked three rooms. We were made to wait an extra hour and a half past the official check-in time for our 1 room. To make matters worse, the front desk employee who assisted us had a noticeable attitude, showing no empathy or proper apology for the delay.

-Hygiene & Major Delay: Upon entering, we discovered a bloodstain on the duvet/comforter. While I appreciate that the team did eventually come to change it, it took an unacceptable four hours for them to arrive because no one was answering our calls. By the time they resolved it, it was already 9:00 PM, which is incredibly late for a basic housekeeping issue.

-Ignored Room Service: In the other room, we ordered room service, but nobody ever showed up.

-Ruined Surprise & Forgotten Request: I had pre-arranged a cake for a special occasion to surprise someone. Even though I have the chat logs proving the request was confirmed, they completely forgot the cake and never apologized for the oversight.

-Zero Privacy (Balcony Design): The privacy here is non-existent. Guests on the balconies above you can look straight down into your balcony, and you can see directly into the balconies below you.

-Confusing Layout & Bathroom Oddity: The hotel is a complete maze with too many confusing corridors. Additionally, the mechanism of the bidet (shattaf) in the bathroom was unnecessarily strange and complicated to use.

-Room Layout Note: While the rooms were nice, they lacked functional mirrors. There wasn’t even a proper full-length or rectangular mirror other than the bathroom mirror and the mirror next to the coffee machine .

Good time at the Fairmont
Pros:

The pool was great and the sun loungers were such a bonus! The setting is beautiful and very grand.

Cons:

We weren’t told anything about the resort, no check in or check out times or even where the pool was. In our room the fridge didn’t work and the iPad wasn’t connected we got the coffee machine and fridge fixed but for a hotel like this I would expect it to be checked before the guests. The staff were nice but not overly helpful. I believe for the rating and price it could have been more
