The room was newly decorated and clean.

Cons:

This hotel supposedly has a 5 star rating, but the facilities leave something to be desired. The towels were not very nice. They are working on the hotel and might be better when they are finished. I didn't realize how far from downtown it was. They have a long way to go for 5 stars

Comfy, clean room. Lots of space. Cute decor.

Cons:

My only complaint is the polyester plastic sheets. The fitted sheet didn’t fit snuggly. Felt like I was fighting with the sheets all night.

A friendly, comfortable, clean work-in-progress.
Pros:

They're putting a lot of love into the renovations -- the room was clean, reasonably stylish, and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful. A short drive to downtown Taos, and to the Hanuman temple.

Cons:

The renovations are very much in progress -- no working ice machine or vending machines at this point, no breakfast, and heavy construction. The location is along a busy road, with fast, heavy traffic. Still, I would stay there again next year, to see how the renovation is coming along!

Pros:

I like that there was a safe in our room, toiletries in the shower and by the sink. I appreciate the makeup remover wipes and the makeup washcloth.

Cons:

There were these small tree bugs in the room. Three in the shower, three in the window seal, and one crawling on me that woke me up in the middle of the night. I didn't like that the TV was mounted on the side of the beds so you had to lay on you side facing one way to watch tv.

A room that was worth the money for space, comfort, and quality.
Pros:

Our room was large, with a living room/ kitchen area plus a sofa bed. The main bedroom had two queen beds with comfortable firm mattresses and another tv. Everything had been updated tastefully with useful accessories.

Cons:

It was being remodeled in the back, but should be a plus when the decks are done.

Expérience mitigée dans ce motel qui semble en cours de rénovation. Des efforts ont été faits pour moderniser les équipements et augmenter le standing.

Cons:

Malgré cela, la propreté n’était pas au rendez-vous, notamment le sol. D’autres choix d’aménagement et de disposition laissent perplexes, ainsi que la qualité de certains travaux qui semblent plus cosmétiques qu’autre chose, mais qui ne vieilliront pas très bien.

Out of town but decent value
Pros:

A refresh of an older motel .. but done well .a decent value for hotel in Taos.

Cons:

Distance from middle Taos is a little far .. but there are a few restaurants that are close.. none walking distance .

Office isn’t open until 9:00 and you can exchange towels only there

Good room but in remodeling upheaval
Pros:

We had a 2 queen bed room. It was large, spotless, quiet, and very comfortable. The staff were very nice and tried to be helpful under trying conditions. The bathroom looked brand new. Good shower.

Cons:

The location was pretty far from town and restaurants hard to find. No breakfast and none nearby. The worst thing was all the inconveniences connected with remodeling and understaffing. The same outfit runs the RV park nextdoor, and the property is remodeling. The office was in an upheaval although the lovely person at the desk was competent and friendly. The spa was located at the RV park across a gravely patch and a dirt alley. The motel ice machine was broken, so I had to go to the one inn the park. Itvwas broken, too, and full of slush. Phone numbers on the website didn't work. The owner needs to hire some more help. Oh, and the patio area behind our room was still not completed. If you don't plan to leave your room, you will be fine. I recommend calling to see if everything is still in upheaval before you reserve a room there.
