Clouds Lofts - Quartier Latin

the last night was noisy as a neighbour was listening to music and singing out of loud till past midnight. They left without much consideration for the other guests.

Aucune prise USB dans le logement ce qui peut être gênant pour les touristes. Les studios du ground floor peuvent être au sous-sol. Pas d’interrupteur au niveau du lit pour la lampe située au dessus (ne fonctionnait pas non plus avec l’interrupteur à l’entrée). Les couloirs au sous sol sont un peu tristes.

The fact that checking was too late 4 o’clock is not acceptable I arrived to the city at 9:30am so I had to carry my heavy bag on my shoulders the entire day which I had to walk a lot in 30 degrees Celsius, also the building door was too heavy to open I wish they an easy new build door that dose break people’s arms just by opening it. Also building didn’t have activator and the stairs in the last level of the building was to rescue to take because the door was opening the wrong way where you could literally fall off the stairs because the stairs were very narrow and not safe to use as soon as you open the door of the hallway. And the sink in the washroom was placed in a very weird and wrong place where it was really hard to use it because the sink was first a tiny sink which was against the wall.

When looking for a place to stay in Montreal, I checked the "parking" filter. Upon arrival, we realized there was no parking on the street. You can see several screenshots from Booking.com proving this. Parking (even "private parking") was listed among the facilities (attached photos). I called the number listed on the website and spoke with a man representing the company that manages Clouds Lofts. He said it was my mistake. I hung up, checked the website and tried to call him. I sent him screenshots proving I was right and asking him to pick up the phone. I didn't get any answer. He wasn't picking up the phone. I called booking.com and spent a long time talking to a man, hoping they would help me cancel my reservation and find a hotel with parking. The representative from Booking.com told me I was using the wrong version of the app on my phone when I made my reservation. When I said I did the booking on my laptop, he said it was my mistake "because I didn't look into the details". When I said that I checked the "parking" filter, he said it wasn't possible. He said he didn't see "parking" as a facility. That's why I am attaching photos from today, July 15, 2026 ( you can see the date in the bottom right). I was told that I could not cancel the reservation and get my money back. We parked the car in a public underground parking across the street. NOT a PRIVATE parking. As we were using the car in Montreal, we paid quite a large amount for the parking. Sumerizing: the info on Booking.com is still fake. The company managing the lofts doesn't pick up the phone when asked to clarify the situation (the day after they had the nerve to send me a message asking if I was enjoying my stay). Booking.com didn't help me; instead, it gaslighted me, saying it was my mistake. The property itself is a step up from a hostel.

We purposely booked a ground floor room, it specifically said on the reservation “ground floor suite” because they have no elevators and we didn’t want to carry heavy bags up a bunch of stairs. When we arrived our room was on the 4th floor. We called to fix this and the first time we were answered with complete silence after explaining and eventually were hung up on then the second call they don’t us they were fully booked and there was nothing they could do. We were also told that the booking does not promise the ground floor even though they very clearly advertise “ground floor suites” so that is a lie. The stairs are very dangerous, the railings are hanging off the wall, and when you go to open the fourth floor door you are met with a drop because of how poorly the stairs are designed. When checking the mattress for bugs we noticed it was completely covered in hair that was obviously not our hair. Overall not a great experience and definitely would not book it again.

Staff (lack thereof), parking, frustratingly inefficient system for check-in, cramped room (much smaller than the impression the photos leave).

There were some small issues that the property needs to fix to make the experience much better.

There were some issues with the beds sheets not matching the size of the bed, so it was a bit annoying that it was moving.
The bathroom mirror lights were not working and the AC was a bit noisy and throwing some ice pellets, maybe it needs some maintenance.

Also, the bedroom was by the entrance so it was a bit noisy and the window blind still allowed a lot of light to come in the bedroom. A blackout curtain is necessary there.

When we arrived a few teenagers had gotten into the room. They had destroyed the room. Water everywhere, TV almost off the wall. We called the property and to their credit they agreed to refund us fully. This is not a traditional hotel. There is no reception or amenities. The neighborhood is central but sketchy.
