Alles, wunderschöne Lage sehr freundliches Personal, top Zimmer
Nichts zu bemängeln
The location of the hotel is very nice. Directly on the river which gives you nice views. There is a cafetaria for drinks and food overlooking the river. And a nice restaurant as well with inside seats and outdoor terrace. Also the hotel is in the middle of the woods so you can talk long walks if you want. When visiting Basel city this is only a 15 minutes drive by car. The staff was also friendly when I tried to get a late snack from the cafetaria.
The room in the Lodge (a small separate building next to the hotel) we had booked did not have airconditioning and only one windows. This meant that the room was extremely warm and we couldn't get much sleep. We discussed this in the morning and they offered us another room in the main building, but there also no AC was available. Based on this we decided to leave and not stay the second night. Simply because we couldn't sleep properly in the heat. And that is the basis for using a hotel. We didn't get our money back (only part of it) for the second night we cancelled.
Ein stilvoll und modern renoviertes Hotel mit schönen, komfortablen Zimmern in hervorragender Lage direkt am Rhein. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
Das Frühstück war für den Preis aus unserer Sicht zu einfach und bietet kein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Außerdem fehlt eine Klimaanlage, wodurch die Zimmer im Sommer sehr warm werden. Ansonsten gab es nichts zu beanstanden.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeitende und eine wunderschöne Location. Ruhig und erholsam.
Leider stand kein Kingsize Bett mehr zur Verfügung. Und die beiden Einzelbetten waren für meine Grösse knapp bemessen.

Das Waldhaus ist der perfekte Ort für einen Basel Besuch. Es ist wunderschön am Wald und am Rhein gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, der Service perfekt (insbesondere die Bereitstellung der Fahrräder für einen Baselausflug) und das Essen sehr lecker.

- Notre chambre était juste au-dessus de l'entrée, donc un peu de bruit.
- On se réjouissait de pouvoir prendre les repas au restaurant et sur la terrasse. Déception, la qualité lors de notre premier repas n'était pas au rendez-vous. Prix chère et cuisine très moyenne.

- Zimmer war extrem heiss, keine Klimaanlage
- Fenster waren komplett schmutzig mit Spinnenweben, Insekten innen und aussen am Fenster und Fenstersims
- Duschkopfhalterung im Bad war defekt, also könnte man den Duschkopf nicht fixieren
- starke Aussenbeleuchtung, sodass man das Fenster in der Nacht schwer auflassen konnte obwohl man es musste, da sonst das Zimmer zu heiss wurde
- extreme Lautstärke die ganze Nacht durch ein Industrie Schiff direkt unterhalb des Hotels
- Frühstück war sehr mager, um 08.45 war nur noch sehr wenig da. Das Auffüllen hat sehr lange gedauert
- Rezeption war fast nie besetzt, man musste immer mehrere Minuten warten
Very family friendly, staffs were very friendly to small children. There is a playground for kids and so close to forest.
The room is nicely designed and very clean.
Location is not too bad as it’s not too far away from the city center if you don’t plan to be walking distance from the downtown but want to be surrounded by the nature.
Too hot in summer. No air-conditioning. It’s impossible to sleep with the fan as it’s too loud. You have to leave the window open to keep the room a bit cooler. My daughter was sweating nearly the whole night.

A previous occupant had clearly taken the kettle and coffee machine with them, and left clothes in the cupboard, but the hotel had not noticed. Oops. However, this was corrected by the hotel immediately, although without a real apology.
