اقمت في ثلاثة فنادق في زنجبار ودار السلام وكان هو أفضل فندق مقارنة مع الثلاثة من كل النواحي حتى القيمة مقابل المال
انصح الجميع، الغرفة كبيرة وجيدة جدا خدمة الساونا مجانا والموقع ممتاز وبعيد عن زحمة دار السلام وقريب من معظم المواقع
Breakfast was fine though their coffee machine was broken, the server made coffee esp for us!
The reason for the low score is that after we left, I got a call from the front desk person trying to extort money from me. She told me my charge did t go through and that she would be fired and that her mother was sick and depending on her. I told her to have management call me and I’d pay them directly. She even sent a text with her photo. Of course I checked my credit card and it has gone through. I alerted the management and they never let me know if they had taken care of this. Very disappointed. Plus it was our very first night of a month long holiday through Africa. Needless to say it was a bitter pill. We didn’t have anything like that happen anywhere else. Our trip was fantastic, but the memory of that stay is horrible.

Breakfast was limited but very good, room service was good too. Due to the location it might be best to eat at the hotel in the evening, unless you are very familiar with Dar. Massage and swimming pool at the hotel were also very nice.
Most appreciated was probably Aisha (working at reception desk), she was always ready to help out if I had any question
The bathroom might need a checkup, the jacuzzi of the bath wasn't working and when draining the water from the bathtub, lots of dirty water came out of the sink of the shower. I guess it needed some flushing, so might be solved now.
Concerning the tv, the connection wasn't always stable, as a result you couldn't always select what you wanted to see, but that's just a detail.
I had a wonderful stay at Blackwood Hotel and would absolutely stay here again. The hotel was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked great throughout my stay, the shower had reliable hot water, and the pool was a lovely place to relax.
One of the highlights was the breakfast—it was absolutely amazing and definitely worth trying. The food was fresh, delicious, and a great way to start the day.
The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and courteous, always willing to help with a smile. Overall, this was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in Dar es Salaam. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
