Stunning, clean rooms. Excellent location. Delicious breakfast! Staff were also wonderful. 5/5 for everything, we loved our stay and will be back!

This is a wonderful hotel in downtown Melbourne. The location is great with some fanstastic bars and restaurants on the same street, the tram right outside and lots to explore within walking distance.
The rooms are all kind of brand new since this hotel has not been open long, they are large and well appointed with great views across the city. Despite being in central Melbourne, it's not too bad for noise.
The winner here is the rooftop pool which is a sun trap on a sunny day, but with limited loungers and no outdoor bar it's an after thought which is a shame - they do offer food and drinks service through a QR code so not all is lost.
The coffee shop/lobby bar which offers happy hour is really cute, the coffee is great.
The breakfast was busy and crowded and the service was not great or attentive, in fact I was ignored every day I went there and had to actively go and ask for help and for coffee - seemed understaffed and a little underwhelming.
All in all and despite a confusing situation with an ambassador free daily coffee voucher amenity, which is turns out is not daily at all but just on day 1 (why say it's daily when it's not!) I had a great stay here and loved this hotel.
I love the new design aesthetic of Le Meridien and the staff here were super friendly and helpful.

There was a rooftop Club across the from the room and I could hear the music for hours at night
When I went to Le Méridien it was quiet. The atmosphere for me was nice and calm. We got checked in, and got a room on the top floor (12th floor). We even got a paper that told us that we could have free gelato once while we stayed there. We went up on the lift. The room was very clean and they set everything neatly. They offered complimentary breakfast.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight snacks were available for purchase. They had a telephone so we could contact reception any time. The quality of the telephone, tv, and kettle was very good.
The next day we went to the DOLLY breakfast buffet. They had lots of good options like, the hash browns, salads, fruit, juice, cinnamon rolls, and even more delicious options. They also asked us if we had dietary requirements as we are vegetarians. They was an automatic coffee machine too, which is also made hot chocolate of a good quality.
Once we had our breakfast we went to the pool which was on the 5th floor with the gym. The pool water was not like other hotel pools, it was a very nice and warm. After splashing around in the pool we went to the sauna for roughly 10 mins.
If you are going out to the city it is very close to china town it is a great idea to choose to stay at Le Méridien, because it is in front of a tram stop.
On our last day we had our complimentary gelato, then me and my sister went up to the gym for about 10 mins. Then we got checked out and put our stuff into the cloakroom, then went out till 6:00 pm to the city.
Tips:
1. Ask for a higher floor than level 6 or above, or you won't get a good view
2. Explore first
3. Ask for what you need for e.g tea bags, slippers, etc.
