Door had to be opened by repeatedly smacking with hammer, hair on sheets from last occupant

It was close to Notre Dame and metro stop Place d'Armes

Cons:

No one was there to check in. We could not get the door open. When a manager arrived, he had to smack it with a hammer several times. Inside, the hideaway couch sheets had hair from the last person who slept there. The manager told me everything is fine, no problem. We needed a different room because this was a fire hazard and unclean. Two hours after check in time, they moved us to a different room and refused any compensation for this one night of our three night stay, claiming it was an "upgrade." Same number of beds, same one bathroom, same kitchenette, same tired building and same tired elevator. It was not an upgrade and we will not stay here again

Overall it was a lovely stay with helpful manager even if we did not meet.
Pros:

There was no breakfast. The property was in a central location, however to many bums hanging around during the day and in the evening that made it more creepy. The room was good and spacious and clean but needs a serious update, windows frames damaged. The communication was via WhatsApp and the manager was very helpful, let us in before time so we could leave our luggage and even though we could not have a late check out he made arrangements to keep our luggage in a safe place until we departed for the airport. He was very kind. All entries were by code that worked very well

Cons:

The people hanging around the property that looked at times creepy and the fact that the sliding doors were jammed and were very difficult to open and close and the window frames were very damaged. A serious update to fix those is needed.

Close to the Palais des congres/Convention Centre - good value!
Pros:

The location to the convention centre was a happy surprise! It was comfortable for three friends to share and have their own space.
