Not a happy stay, broken phone and cockroach in room

The location was good and as my daughter had stayed there before I was OK to give it a try.
Staff was nice when checking in.

Cons:

I would give the room a 6 out of 10 when we got in.
We just got off our flight that was delayed because of the weather.
It was late and we were very tired.

The next morning we tried to call the front desk but the phone wasn't working. I went downstairs to the front desk and asked for extra towels.

While waiting in the room for over 45 minutes, still no extra towels but we noticed a cockroach going up the wall.

We packed up and left right away.

While checking out the lady at the front desk asked if we got the extra towel and we told her no.
She apologized and we left.

Best hotel ive stayed at the pricepoint, even better some ive paid more for.
Pros:

I love the the theme of the hotel. It was clean. The views were good. Good sized TV, fast wifi.

So disgusting that we did not stay
Cons:

The facilities were not maintained very well. It was very dirty and not maintained well at all. When we opened the bathroom, a cockroach ran by. The doors were extremely hard to open and shut. There was dirt on the wall walls and the doors. Just a very dirty place and we did not stay for the night.

Location was great for Amerant Banl Arena; However would not recommend for an extended stay, very minimal service, or accommodations; Felt cold, not very warming to guests; Problem with doors & lamps; no side table; Value not worth it for one night
