Nice sized room
Telly didn't, work, missed cleaning bathroom from previous occupant.
Location worked for me.
Staff were nice and worked hard.
Managed to park at hotel no problem.
Hotel is tired and abit rough round the edges but did the job for us.
You do hear the floorboards creaking when people walk around their room and the rooms get incredibly hot at the front of the hotel.
I liked the site
It felt like a half-star hotel; renting a tent was better, cheaper, and cleaner. The worst thing was when you wanted to take a shower, the water came out red and full of dirt.
dont book this shit hotel for ur favourite and beautiful momets . because the staff is not friendly they give u wrong room keys then u need to wait and if u inquire this and ask about any inquiry they will tell u boss coming tuesday and when u speak to boss and ask about refund they will not issue .
Speacially indian dont stay there .
Not hot water nothing at all .
if u mentioned u need to double bed they give u twin beds and when u ask they will tell u hotel full book i cant do anything .
that type of shit service they have
so if u want to spend this beautiful moment dont go in this shit hotel and make ur experience bad just bcz of this .
The room was comfortable enough.
Upon arrival Heidi greeted us and told us we could park across the street outside the hotel facing, as there was not enough parking spaces for guests at sandy lodge. The next day I received a parking fine of £70. When I told Heidi she said “oh, I’m sorry about that” and that she “Didn’t drive” and “we’ve never had a problem before”. I then asked if the hotel if they could compensate me for suggesting an illegal parking space to me and they said they would not.
The hallway to our room smelled awful for the entire time we stayed (3 nights). Later on we spoke to a resident of the flats next door and she told us that Sandy Lodge frequently has homeless people stay there and that some guests would take drugs in there room and in areas surrounding the hotel.
Upon checking out, my car was blocked in. This is after moving it from the original place where I got the parking fine. We had to wait for the woman who worked next door to move her car before we could make the 6 hour drive home.
Overall this was a terrible experience. Unaware and uncaring staff. Unclean and smelly environment. There are so many options for hotels in Newquay. Sandy Lodge should never be one.
Room wasn’t very nice. Broken tv on wall
Goede service
Smalle gang veel deuren
Clean. Nice staff. Good value for money.
Na
Room was ok for stay but not comfortable too hot inside not enough ventilation
Staff wasn’t prioritising the guests over her personal phone call while guests waited at the reception desk also there was a random lady came and knocked on our door at midnight out of nowhere which is very disturbing and could be dangerous
Everything was great
Not enough parking at front, but I found somewhere in the street 5 mins away
The water pressure in the shower was nonexistent and had to pay to use showers elsewhere, when asked at the desk they said it was due to many people using them but I had tried it around 20 times over 4 days and was the same every time
It’s just outside of the town so commuting was only a ten minute walk
Helpful and friendly staff
Shower was leaky and not cleaned on arrival , kettle didn’t work and kept blowing the electric, there was a bag covering the smoke detector on arrival.
Awful parking
Staff were lovely people very helpful
