Pros:

It was fairly cheap to stay at.

Cons:

We arrived at the same time as other people who we didn’t know, about 5 groups and they said that none of us had paid. We weren’t allowed to have a room till we paid again and then had to go through booking.com to refund the money.

Pleasant & does the job!
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was good for us. A short walk from the train station and town centre. There's also a Tesco Express at the top of the road which was very handy. There's a 'communal' kitchen with a fridge which was helpful. The room was clean and had everything I needed for my stay. The bed was comfy, too. Check-in and out was very easy. I appreciated the bottle of complimentary water. Thank you :)

Cons:

The walls are very thin so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. This is obviously not the fault of staff. My towels were a bit worn/scruffy. It would be nice to have had at least one or two herbal tea options (camomile or something like lemon/ginger), not just black tea. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would book again for value, location and warmth of staff.

Great for a solo trip
Pros:

It was clean & well located to the town, comfy & warm room. Staff were friendly too

Cons:

I would have liked a bit more of a lock on the door - this is however personal preference because I do like a bolt on a door!

Good price to pay for an overnight stay without frills.
Pros:

Location fine for my needs. Single room clean and (?) recently decorated. Tea/coffee making facilities. Lift to second floor. Television in room if required.

Cons:

The packet of biscuits provided with tea/coffee was out-of-date.
The continental breakfast was disappointing. Room was open but in darkness. Water in hot water boiler was cold. Pot of yoghurt in small fridge with jugs of orange juice and.milk. Reasonable display of cereals, but had to hunt around for large spoon. Three croissants in an open container were rock hard. Closed.container with a couple of pains au chocolate, three slices of white bread and two of brown. Hoped to toast bread, but no indication of how to switch on machine, so gave up! Ten pounds would be a reasonable price for a continental breakfast IF all facilities in the Breakfast Room were up and running and well stocked.

Pros:

Good location, good for cliff-top walks and price was extremely reasonable. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

Mostly clean, needs a little more attention to detail. The walls are quite thin - have earplugs.

Pros:

Excellent location near Newquay itself and the lovely Tolcarne Beach just a couple of minutes away. Very close to bus links and not far from the railway. Room was comfortable if a tad on the small side and bed was comfy.. Staff were good with the check in fine and the late night attendant was good.

Cons:

Just one quibble - the shower wasn't great. It took a long time to get to temperature and the stream was very slow unfortunately.
