Pros:

Absolutely phenomenal host on the reception desk, she was so friendly, helpful, and lovely to talk to. Also the hotel itself was beautiful and all the rooms were full of character - the grounds had the 'wow' factor.

Cons:

This is very, very minor as the stay was great - but we found it odd that the brightness of the lighting kept changing slightly (not just in our room, also in the breakfast room). Also there were some black marks on the duvet cover. But as I said, these are minor issues and I'd still fully recommend the hotel.

Such an amazing experience in the Yorkshire wolds.
Pros:

All the staff were amazing Fergus, Tracey, Evie and others but those three stood out the quality of food and drinks was excellent the restaurant was lovely and private not rushed and not too big, overall worth visiting. the gardens were keep lovely and such an old building 1800s gave you a warm feel, we will defiantly be back.

Cons:

The basic TV channels you had to search and log the barcode which we didn't do so we watched amazon and netflix.

Highly recommend a stay and make sure to book in at the restaurant
Pros:

This is a beautiful property. Lovingly restored. We stayed in The Study. The room was spacious, stylishly decorated with lots of lovely touches like robes, slippers, large tv, tea and coffee making facilities. Lovely little makeup area with hair dryer. The bathroom was huge and again beautifully finished. Wet room area at one end and a free standing bath in the middle with bath salts, shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. All very nice. We also ate in the restaurant (Seventeen) and we were really impressed with everything from start to finish. All the staff lovely too. I will
Be leaving a separate review for Seventeen as this place deserves to be recognised for the food, atmosphere and service We both slept really well too. Super comfy beds and very peaceful.

Lovely quirky friendly place and a high standard throughout.
Pros:

I live relatively locally but needed accommodation for two nights. As a solo traveller I was made to feel very welcome, staff were attentive and the dinner at the restaurant was lovely. A very relaxed atmosphere and nice touches throughout.

A beautiful property in gorgeous grounds and not too far away from the town and its shops. Our room was exceptional especially the view from the two huge windows. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well.
