Excellent, all round, country pub/hotel.
Pros:

The hotel is clean and comfortable , decor a bit dark. Well kept, staff very helpful. Young waiting staff well trained, know how to look after their customers. Food is excellent
Stopped using sourdough bread, hooray!

Cons:

Nothing to dislike, love staying at The Cat and Lion.

Perfect stop over stay with a classic pub to dine out and relax in.
Pros:

Really clean and great value and a smashing breakfast
Pros:

The hotel and staff were great only thing letting it down is Dogs being allowed in the dining area my husband has allergies and went kn yo have food in the evening there was 2 dogs in the area were people ate other than that all good

Cons:

Thr dogs in the bar where u eat my husband has allergies and he couldn't stay because there was 2 dogs in were we wanted to eat its a big bar and restaurant but the part where hotel guests eat all the tables were reserved

Our stay at the Cat & Lion
Pros:

It offered exactly what we wanted for a 2 night stay attending a wedding. The breakfast was terrific.

Cons:

No aircon for the room, but supplied a desk fan. I would have preferred a shower rather than bath with shower,

Every clean and was given an extra towel which is great as I have very long hair. It was very easy to book dinner also.

Cons:

A hair dryer on a short curly power cable made it difficult to dry my hair. Could get the trap on the bath but the shower was ok if you like a rain effect.

Pros:

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel.

The hotel was very comfortable, welcoming, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The highlight of our stay was definitely the food. Both the breakfast and the meals served at the hotel were absolutely delicious, with great quality and plenty of choice.

Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We had take away bacon roll for breakfast plenty of bacon well wrapped for taking away .Outside eating drink area good food in restaurant good staff friendly.

Cons:

Slightly disappointed with bathroom could do with an upgrade overall room was good.

Need an early breakfast at the weekend?
Pros:

Nice property with pub attached but not noisy.

Cons:

We expected to be able to have breakfast but wasn't aware how late this started at weekends. Too late to make our ferry so we were disappointed with stay. I'm not sure this is clear enough in comms. Otherwise - good experience.
