Loved the common room,
Staff very helpful
My wife said it was like staying at her aunts house, fun to be there but the guest rooms are a bit small.
I was comfortable
Location and ambience
Stairs
It was quaint. I enjoyed the kitchen and common room area outside the room.
The bathroom floor had a hole in it under the lanolium.
This is a “quirky”, in a good way, Hotel. Heritage building, key code to check-in, room keys hanging on the door; …totally fun. Super clean and well equipped for cooking, which is a great thing, since there was no place in town to buy breakfast. My room face the street and I sleep with the window open, not a problem …and I’m not a very sound sleeper. Great experience, this is the second time I’ve stayed in this property.
I feel I have to write something in this space, so: the shower was small but worked well and lots of hot water.
Clean room with great view of the mountains
Old hotel ,as we knew, but that’s why we booked it.
Nothing
It was very historic and quaint. Felt like going back in time. Everything was very clean and in reasonable order. It was a nice touch to use antique furniture in the room. The four poster bed was awesome.
We are used to a king bed, so the double was squishy although comfortable. Felt strange to let ourselves in without any staff around. You need to remind guests to relock the outside door after coming or going. We found it unlocked and open on two occasions.
Bed is a little too high, other than that all good
An excellent historic hotel experience in this wonderful old town.
Nothing.
The staff are fantastic, and worked with me to modify my reservation.
Room was clean
This was not the room I booked, not the hotel I booked, the tv did not work and I still have not received a bill for what I paid
Excellent people to deal with and good value for your money! I really like the push button code for the main door! Will be back for sure!
Room comfortable. Liked the common areas. Guests were very considerate of each other.
Climbing 2 flights of stairs to get to room
The bed was good.
No parking lot, you park on the street. The shower head did not spray; it had two streams of water.
Old building. Could hear other guest. Noise from other guests walking about. Noise most of night and early morning from other guest entering and leaving. Not what expected.
updated structure. Felt like I was walking on uneven floors. Door frames warped.
Loved the historic nature of the hotel. Martin was very nice and accommodating when it turned out I’d accidentally booked two rooms. The room was very large with a kitchen area that included a fridge and quite a few small appliances. It was in a hood part of town, close to the only 2 open restaurants in town.
The hotel was pretty old and we were a little concerned about using outlets and appliances. Floors squeaked pretty bad and were loud when we or others walked up stairs or in the hall. The bed frame was old and creaky. My husband and I kept each other up all night because we’d both wake up when one of us moved it turned over. The batteries were dead in our tv remote. I called and Martin answered right away and was very nice. He said he’d bring replacements right away but never showed up. Even the next day someone came in and made our bed but didn’t replace the batteries in the remote, even though we’d left the remote open on the desk because we’d thrown the bad batteries away.
