Beautiful setting on the swan river
Parking difficult for bigger SUVs
great location!
a little noisy when the wind picked up, but nothing can be done about that :)
Beautifully finished building/rooms with an incredible view of Matilda Bay. Front desk was extremely welcoming.
West Kitchen & Bar was horrid, which unfortunately also provided service to the rooms and was the only restaurant onsite. I called for in-room dining from the room about 9 times and 9 out of 9 times it rung out. During dinner, we waited for 1.5 hours to receive our mains only for the beef dish to be cold. It was not busy enough to warrant this. Breakfast was the final straw as the staff member showed visible signs that they were under pressure (possibly understaffed). Very condescending, highly unprofessional - felt like a burden to them that we were dining there.
Right on the swan river, 10 minute walk to Matilda Bay restaurant. Room nice and clean! Comfortable bed.
Location, comfortable bed, early chec-in was accommodated
Weird setup, upper ground floor felt like an outer house with freezing cold corridor. Climat controller in the room was extremely difficult to use, had to employ help from a lovely receptionist to be able to even turn it on. Instructions in the room would probably help. Reception is understaffed, unable to even answer guests phone calls during check-in/check-out hours. Can’t comment on food because based on the previous reviews decided not to use restaraunt. Overall it was ok for one night and it served the intended purpose.
The staff and view of the river were excellent. The location of the hotel was good due to its proximity to our destination.
The lack of parking is definitely an issue, unless you are able to book one of only 9 hotel spaces available. If not then its potluck to find a space on a nearby road, there is a 5 min drop off in the hotel basement. The other issue we had was the lack of information on 1: how to use the lift with a room card, 2: no instruction available to use the room facilities ie Aircon and lights.
Very flash hotel room for the night
The staff were friendly, location was good.
My room was infested with lots of baby cockroaches It ruined my second night and although I was moved rooms, I couldn’t sleep. It was so unsettling and now I have to fumigate every thing I had in the room with me. The road noise in the new room was terrible and made it very difficult to sleep.
The view, location, quality of the rooms.
Can be a little tricky with parking.
Love the style, location, lay out.
New, clean, modern eco feel.
bar and restaurant not open every night
The Wonil was an absolute surprise and a very lucky find! The very best location for a wedding in Matilda Bay… we had a 500m walk to the venue - so lucky. The staff were so friendly and attentive and always helpful! Bar and bar food were excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed. The most beautiful walks along the bay under spectacular big trees.
Breakfast was disappointing but also maybe due to confusion with what we had included on the cooking - hot and cold food. Would have been good to have that clarified when we went to our table. It turned out expensive for a continental breakfast.
