It's my second time in Marom. I came to Marom because the first time was great.
The beach is nice, the staff is kind

Cons:

The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I am not someone who likes to complain about every little thing, which is why I did not say anything at the beginning. However, once my privacy was violated, I decided that I had to speak up.

When I checked in, I immediately noticed that the room had an unpleasant smell. I told myself, “Okay, don’t make a big deal out of it. Just try to enjoy the four days in peace.” I also removed the apparent source of the smell by moving the carpet away from the bed.

On the second day, the housekeeper asked me whether I wanted the room to be cleaned. I told her that it was not necessary.

However, on the evening before my departure, I returned to my room and found that it had been cleaned, even though I had not put the “Please clean my room” sign on the door — in fact, the sign was not even in the room — and I had not explicitly asked anyone to clean it.

Despite this, someone entered my room and cleaned it while all of my personal belongings were out in the open and valuables were inside. Everything was accessible. I felt that my privacy had been completely disregarded.

When I raised the issue at reception, Mr. Abdelrahmen came to the room with another member of staff. They addressed the cleanliness issue, removed the carpets and cleaned the floor. However, regarding the fact that the housekeeper had entered and cleaned my room against my wishes, there was nothing they could do at that moment, and I was told that the matter would be addressed in the morning.

At check-out, I asked at reception to speak with the manager, whom I had been promised I could speak to the night before. Instead, I was directed to Guest Relations. She listened to my complaint but then tried to put the responsibility on me, saying that I “had not told anyone that nobody was allowed to enter the room.”

I had to take a moment to understand that way of thinking before explaining that this was not my responsibility.

Pros:

The lagoon pool is great and the staff a good.

Cons:

There were road works outside the hotel at the time. Which I'm sure will be complete in good time but it made access tricky.

Pros:

Wonderful place. Lovely staff. Great space and 3 huge pool areas. Clean and comfortable. Private beach access. Would recommend. Fatima in reservations was extremely helpful.
