Amazing staff service
Pros:

The staff at this hotel were amazing - very acommodating and they remembered by name each and every time, which is normally something you encounter at the top end hotels, so a massive thumbs-up for the service level.

Clean comfortable hotel in the heart of stone town
Pros:

Cute and clean hotel in the heart of stone town. A very short walk to the front / beach and also the cute little market shops around.

Be wary that locals will hound you to buy from the shops or take you on a boat/tour so we are glad we only had one night here and moving on to the sister sherazad in jumbiani (hopefully get some peace there)

The staff at stone town after location are so friendly. Sophie the manager was really nice and the boys who took our luggage to our room and served us at breakfast were wonderful.

Also the receptionist Ella (I’ve forgot her full name) she was super friendly and pleasant.

The room was specious clean comfortable with a nice shower and balcony overlooking the outdoor dining area.

The rooms have everything you need though the hairdryer was rubbish but wouldn’t put you off staying.

Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it though what I found weird was there was a charge if you wanted more than two sides with your eggs. So essentially if you wanted a traditional full English style breakfast you would be charged which i find very disappointing given the cost of the room for one night. Otherwise our short stay was pleasant.

Also if you’re an animal lover be warned there are LOTS of stray cats around the whole of stone town and it is very sad seeing them all at night hustling for food. Of a day there seems to be biscuits and water around for them so I do believe they are looked after as best they can be by the locals but lastnight really upset me seeing it for the first time and we bought tuna skewers from the local market and shred them for quite a few of the cats.

I really wish there was a charity over here to spay the cats so they can stop mating at least.

Good with room for improvement.
Pros:

Nice location, beautiful hotel

Cons:

We booked for nine people (6 adults and 3 kids) and I could show it. When we arrived the reception rather aggressively said we only booked for 6 adults. After a while it showed we had booked for 9 and they had it wrong. Bad start!
Also breakfast is way to big and slow.

Great little hotel in a fantastic locale, serving tasty breakfasts and meals with lovely staff!
Pros:

Cute little hotel in centre of Stone Town with the great access that the location offered. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast included in tariff.

Cons:

A small fridge inside the room would be good. Also some hooks or rails in the bathroom to hang towels. Also, a TV would be nice.

The kettle provided was both small and didn't work well as it didn't turn itself off once it had boiled so tended to overflow. We used it a lot to make tea and coffee and to heat up milk for our baby.
