A bit challenging to find a parking spot, which is not entirely untypical for big southern cities. Also there is a big road nearby, but I guess this could be pro and con as well, depending on your purpose.

The bathroom door handle was broken, the shower hose wasn't working, and the hallway outside the apartment smelled like expired medicine!

I'll start from the beginning. My phone and internet weren't working, probably due to some regional roaming issues between countries. I hooked up to free Wi-Fi and called a taxi, which was ridiculous because it was a five-minute walk. The location was good, but nothing else good happened that evening. After 13.5 hours on the bus, I finally stood in front of the hotel door where I just wanted to spend the night and recharge. The door was locked. The "Reception" sign was just a sticker, not a button to call someone or ask them to open the door. There was also a combination lock, but I didn't have the code. Above the door was a number to call. One of the hotel guests let me into the hotel, taking pity on my miserable appearance and my attempts to figure out what to do. I went to the reception and there was no one there. I was greeted by a welcoming sign that the reception was closed - the numbers above the sign were the same as those above the door. No one warned me that if I didn't check in online, I wouldn't receive an entry code or room code. And here I am downstairs without local cheap communication, there is no connection at the Reception that I can use to contact anyone.
I switch to another SIM card. Thank goodness there's mobile service there; the internet isn't working, but now I can call. I can imagine how much this will cost me, and the savings on the bus are already melting away. I call the number and say I'm at Reception, but no one's there; someone should come and do their fucking job. I wait for a robotic greeting, switch to the problem area, and the operator on the other side asks me for the reservation code. I tell him I'm at Reception, which is closed. The answer is simply brilliant: I have no idea where you are, we have a call center with a lot of facilities.
