The Benson Hotel & Faculty Club

I have always loved this hotel - its proximity to campus, great food, amenities and room. I also like the fact I can work there if I need to.

No carpets in bedroom

I love this hotel. It’s in a very safe neighborhood on the U of CO Anschutz medical campus. Rooms are quiet with a very comfortable bed. A superb bar and restaurant are on site. The small neighborhood also has a great brewery, coffee shop and other restaurants. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Love the artwork throughout the hotel. Dog friendly with so many areas to walk in the area.

This property is a gem. I booked this hotel in order to be close to the Anschutz Medical Center at the University of Colorado, while my daughter was having surgery. All I expected was a clean room, comfortable bed and to be nearby...walking distance. I can say that I was totally surprised by this beautiful, well managed and very luxurious property. For starters the decor is lovely, well designed and creates a warmth with it's many fireplaces and cozy seating areas. Every request was granted! The staff from Valet, Bar, Restaurants (and btw- excellent food to be had at their restaurant), Front desk were beyond accommodating.
Patrice Robinson the Front Office Supervisor could not have been more helpful. She even arranged for me to get a walking map to the hospital so I didn't need to depend on my cell phone. Finding a place to set up a special meal also was no problem, when I explained my eating restrictions. Hoping I have no reason to return to Aurora ...certainly not because of needing the hospital. But for sure I highly recommend the Bensen Hotel and do ask for the Medical Rate if you have a family member at ANSHUTZ. ENJOY!

I cannot say enough good things about the Benson hotel. I moved from another hotel and stored my luggage until a room was available. When a room opened they literally ran across the lobby to catch me and get me checked in before my Lyft arrived. Then they took my luggage to my room and hung my coat up in the closet. Every member of staff was kind and went above and beyond to ensure my stay excellent. Beautiful lobby with areas to sit and read or visit with others. Well appointed room and a huge shower. The attached restaurant Common Good was a great place for brunch.

With the exception of the outdated TV cable system, the rooms and atmosphere give the impression of a very high end hotel - which is nice considering how affordable it is. Despite being in Aurora, the hotel is on-campus at the university and feels very safe. The staff we interacted with (Patrice, Meredith, Rick and others) were all super helpful.

I stayed at this hotel due to connivence to where I need to go and could do so walking. That was a plus. The ambiance was good in the hotel lobby, and the rooms were very nice as well as clean. It was quiet for the most part. My lower review is due to the hospitality desk, or check-in, check-out. It was the coldest reception I’ve received at check-in and not friendly at check-out either with a different person. On the way to my room, I realized that I was not advised of the wifi password. I mentioned that to someone on the elevator and she said - no, I wasn’t advised either. We figured it out, as it was written on the room key envelop. I was not impressed with that staff; especially at a higher-end facility. Also, 3 hours before I checked out, the TV would not turn on, and the electrical outlets did not work, so could not charge my devices. I checked out and sat in the lobby to do that. However, at the Common Good Restaurant the staff was very friendly, attentive, and the food is good.

This is a beautiful hotel, with excellent service, in close proximity to a conference I was attending. This was my second stay and I will never go anywhere else when in Denver.

We had a business meeting at the hotel and it was extremely welcoming, amazing art collection, and the rooms were perfect….and very well appointed.

Lovely hotel in a quaint area. I would definitely return. The convenience of the location to Anschutz Medical Campus was essential.

We had our wedding on August 30th 2025 at the Benson Hotel. It was exceptional.
From the very first meeting with Brenna Buckley, she was professional, creative and made my husband and I feel both calm and excited at the same time. Brenna was such a big part of making our day something out of a fairytale. She made sure every detail was exemplary, from what we would eat the day of, to arranging every flower in just the perfect location. She went above and beyond expectation. So much so, that it felt like I was creating my vision with one of my best friends. Always there for any new ideas I came up with. The day of the wedding we didn’t know if we would be inside or outside, due to the rainstorm forecasted that day. At the last minute Bill Young and staff were able to pull off the outdoor wedding I was dreaming of. Amazing. The staff was always so helpful and kind. They made us feel as if it were their wedding we were all planning.
The hotel’s ambiance made for a beautiful setting. It was a perfect backdrop for all of our wedding photos. The food created by Anthony Sartorio was so flavorful. Exactly what we asked for and perfectly executed. Our friends and family raved about how beautiful all their rooms were. And I have to agree. Our honeymoon sweet was amazing. Everything was pristine and comfortable.

Convenient and clean.

What a gem of a place! It was the perfect pit-stop on a work trip, from the fireplace in the lobby, the delicious food, the friendly staff, the beautifully designed rooms, and all the wonderful designs (lots of plugs on the nightstand! A fridge and hot plate in the room. Motion sensing lights in the bathroom). It was all a delight at a great price. I'd definitely go back!

Nice hotel, parking is alittle pricey at $25 a day. But still if you are going UC Medical Center then the hotel is worth it.

The Benson met all of my expectations for great service, very clean room, and accessibility for my daughter and proximity to Childern's Hospital. This will definitely be our "go to" hotel in the future.

The location in proximity to the hospital my father was in. I could easily walk to him daily. The hotel was a beautiful respite after long hard day at the hospital.
