Lovely staff and really good refurbishment since we were last there over 30 years ago.

Great location on the water so the views during breakfast were lovely. We had a nice dinner there too, the fish and chips was the stand out. The bar area meant we could have drinks and hang out (large whisky selection too!)
Great location with stunning views! Lovely cosy rooms, easy check in! Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice!
The only disappointment was the evening meal, £17.99 for a chicken burger and a few chips, meal did not fill me up and was not at all worth £17.99 for what was just a Chicken burger and a handful of chips. But that’s a restaurant rating, not a hotel rating.

Attractive hotel, clean and very comfortable beds.
Food was underwhelming. Lamb and fish were over cooked. Breakfast items could have been warmer.
Very busy road so not ideal for a morning wander.
Breakfast was great! It had a wide variety of options available including haggis! The view was absolutely stunning and looked even better from the balcony in the bedroom.

The view and location were great. The staff were also friendly and helpful.
Rooms were noisy and we could hear our neighbours were American. I could also hear them use the toilet…The shower unit was very small and the doors weren’t fully attached to the runners.
Menu at the restaurant was limited and there wasn’t much choice at the breakfast either. The coffee was cold and quite bitter. Small changes would have made it much better.
The parking area, the view and it’s a proper motel / small hotel with receptionist and restaurant.
Couldn’t get dinner reservation even as guest, some staff were a bit reserved.

Excellent location and fantastic scenery. The hotel itself is extremely clean and warranted a 4 star rating. Staff were pleasant and very friendly and helpful.
The food was not cooked very well and was burnt. Another group also complained the food was overcooked. It’s a shame as if the hotel got the food side right it could have the potential to be 5 star. The breakfast was also similar to what you would expect at a cheap national chain hotel.
