A 3 Star Hotel with a 5 Star Service!
Pros:

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Olimpic Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

Although the special airport transfer we had been promised on arrival was unfortunately not arranged by the hotel, Imam handled the situation professionally and courteously. He was very apologetic and went above and beyond to make amends by arranging, through a close friend, the vehicle we had requested for our return journey to the airport. He also kindly provided us with a discount on the transfer, which we greatly appreciated. What stood out most was his genuine care and attention. Every time we returned to the hotel, he would ask whether everything was okay and if there was anything we needed. His kindness and hospitality made us feel truly at home.

Ebru was equally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She offered valuable advice on travel routes and transportation options each day, helping us reach the various places we wanted to visit in Istanbul. Her guidance on using the Marmaray metro service saved us both time and money and made getting around the city much easier. Her warm smile, combined with Imam's wonderful character, was infectious and contributed greatly to the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. This may be a three-star hotel, but the service we received was truly five-star.

All of the staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. One evening, when we returned to the hotel with our son feeling unwell, they showed exceptional concern and compassion. They provided extra cushions and cold water and even offered to arrange medical assistance if required. Their thoughtfulness and support during that time were greatly appreciated.

Overall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The excellent service and genuine hospitality of the staff made a lasting impression on us, and we would not hesitate to recommend Olimpic Hotel to others.

Cons:

There were no bidets in the toilets, but I believe it is the same in many hotels of Istanbul. The AC and fridge should have been cooler, but we were happy with it overall.

Extremely disappointing experience.
We booked and paid for accommodation at Olympic Hotel. Before arrival, the hotel confirmed our expected arrival time. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the rooms we had booked was no longer available due to hotel renovation..
We waited for almost 3 hours while the situation was being discussed. Eventually, we were transferred to another hotel of a significantly lower standard than the one we had originally booked and paid for.
The replacement accommodation did not match the quality, comfort, or expectations created by the original booking. We accepted it only because it was late, we were in a foreign country, and we had no realistic alternative.
What was most disappointing was the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and the fact that the hotel later claimed we had arrived before check-in time, which was simply not true. Our arrival time had been communicated in advance and can be verified.

Deceitful about the facilities, room size and how the hotel looks.
Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Ebru the receptionist. The area was great, close to all the sites.

Cons:

This hotel ruined my experience in Istanbul and I think Booking.com should ensure that hotels in their booking platform are honest about their establishments. We chose the hotel because it had said it had a bar and a roof terrace. It does have a bar however it is not a functioning bar and it does have a roof terrace however it is apparently under renovation which is not mentioned anywhere on the booking platform. The room was supposed to be 23 square meters, if it was 15 square meters it would be a lot. The room was supposed to have a sea view, in reality we had a view of a wall unless you step onto a tiny balcony which is about half a meter wide and look right to see the sea. The breakfast was below par with cheap juices and poor quality meats etc. Brwakfast improved slightly on our last day. Breakfast is not served in the hotel but at a bar little restaurant next door. We had booked other hotels in the same area and regret that we finally decided on this hotel because they are being deceitful in their pictures and descriptions on Booking.com. Overall we were very disappointed in this hotel with the exception of the staff.

This is our first stay with Booking.com where the hotel was not accurately described.

The roof top terrace was under renovation apparently, no renovations were visible, it was basically a storage area. The bar was not operational (two of the reasons we picked this hotel) we were extremely disappointed and felt mislead. We witnessed a number of other unhappy customers complaining.

There was no indication on booking.com that these facilities were not available. We booked a room with a sea view which was only visible in the extreme far distance and so small that you could cover it with your thumb nail and then only when you knew where to look. The main view out of our window was a very distressed building. This was not a superior double room with a sea view, this is misleading as well.

What makes it worse is that the roof top terrace is still being advertised as operational. The breakfast got better the longer we stayed but initially it was not great.

I strongly recommend that Booking.com visit this hotel to assess them because the listing is inaccurate.

La situation est exceptionnelle, à deux pas de tout. Le personnel aussi est très gentil avec une mention spéciale pour Ebru.

Cons:

les photos laissent penser que la terrasse est aménagée pour le petit déjeuner ou pour le repas, mais il n'en est rien. Le petit déjeuner se prend dans un restau à côté. Et qq éléments auraient besoin d'un petit rafraichissement

Simpatía, atención y ubicación
Pros:

La ubicación excelente, cerca de todo, muy buena la atención de todo el personal del hotel. Se caracterizan por su simpatía y atención . Da gusto hospedarse en un hotel que siempre te sonríen y quieren solucionarte todo. Desde la atención en el desayuno, gente de limpieza y atención en todos los sectores.
En especial EBRU muy simpática y atenta.Recomiendo el hotel.

A wonderful stay with friendly staff, clean rooms, a great breakfast, and an excellent location in the heart of Istanbul
Pros:

We stayed at Olympic Star Hotel for 4 nights and 5 days as a family of five, and we were very happy with our experience.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and comfortable. The entire staff was always friendly, helpful, and approachable. Whenever we needed assistance or had a question, someone was there to help us with kindness and patience.

The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was delicious and varied every day, offering something for everyone in the family.

The location of the hotel is also a great advantage. Many attractions, including the Blue Mosque and other famous sights in Sultanahmet, are within walking distance. There are also plenty of shops nearby. We especially appreciated the ŞOK supermarket located directly across from and close to the hotel, which made it very convenient to buy everyday essentials.

We would like to express our special thanks to Ebru at the reception and to Imam Can for their warm hospitality and genuine care. Their kindness made our stay even more enjoyable and memorable.

Thank you for making our family trip so pleasant. We would gladly choose Olympic Star Hotel again on our next visit to Istanbul and would happily recommend it to others :)

Адекватный вариант за свои деньги: удобное местоположение( не нужно подниматься вертикально к остановке как во многих отелях в этом районе); рядом много кафе и ресторанов, прям напротив супермаркет; чистый номер и удобная кровать; вкусный завтрак; очень приветливый и услужливый персонал.

Cons:

Выбрала этот отель из за террасы на крыше для красивых завтраков, но терраса оказалась на реконструкции, но в любом случае погода не позволила бы наслаждаться там завтраками)))
