Das Rockmount liegt am Rand der hübschen Altstadt von Travistock. Die Zimmer sind top stylish eingerichtet. Die Betten sehr gross und äusserst bequem. Unser Zimmer verfügte über ein eigenes Ankleidezimmer. Die Pflegeprodukte im Badezimmer sind von bester Qualität und reichlich vorhanden. Im Vergleich zu vielen Unterkünften in Grossbritannien verfügt das Rockmount über sehr geräumige Zimmer. Im hübschen Restaurant geniesst man leckere Tapas und ausgezeichneten englischen Schaumwein. Das Personal ist eher zurückhaltend aber durchwegs freundlich. Für Ausflüge ins nahe gelegene Dartmoor ist dieses Haus der ideale Ausgangspunkt.
Auf booking.com wird fälschlicherweise mit hoteleigenen Parkplätzen geworben. Es gibt keine privaten Parkplätze bei der Unterkunft und man muss den Wagen im Städtchen unten auf öffentlichen Parkplätzen abstellen. Die Parkautomaten sind nur mit Kleingeld zu füttern.

Although this is a nice hotel with comfortable rooms, we have been let down by the hotel. My wife fell down the stairs in the badly lit corridor breaking her foot. I messaged the company but they’ve ignored my details. It’s been a very difficult few weeks with this injury, and please can the hotel have proper lit halls to stop this from happening.

Beautiful clean room in a great location (4-5 minute walk from the main town). A fan was also provided, which was very much appreciated during the heatwave.
Needed reliable internet for a meeting, and it definitely did not disappoint. Would happily stay here again.

Lovely interiors, great location close to the centre of town. The bed was comfy, and the apartment was cleaned to a high standard. The private terrace was a real bonus. The adjoining restaurant the annex has lovely food and drinks.
It would benefit from a little more storage for clothes, and some hooks for hanging coats/ towels etc. The gate to access from the car park was tricky to manoeuvre and I couldn’t lock it.

Nice apartment with a private little terrace and a nice restaurant next door.
We had some nice weather during our stay, but this meant it got really really hot in the apartment. Airing it out in the evening as well as the fan did little to help. The apartment could really use some AC.

Well equipped rooms and very comfortable bed very clean and lovely bathroom - all really excellent only issues was noise see next comment.
A very busy very noisy bar/restaurant downstairs. I stayed in room 2 which is directly above the kitchens Absolutely no sound proofing so you can hear every word the many staff say plus lots of noisy machines. I was staying on business and needed an early night - no chance. Also the owners had gone out and locked their two dogs in their flat adjacent - they barked and howled constantly until they returned.
However By 11.30pm all was quiet and everything was great so just go out until then - it's actually very peaceful after that time.
We were in the Garden Room, which is a short walk from the main building. This lovely studio room was spacious and cosy, with a comfortable bed and great shower. Having a personal parking space was a bonus. The location is perfect for exploring the town, although the short, but steep walk on the way back might not be for everyone.
We had an issue with the wifi, maybe due to the distance from the router? However, staff were helpful and got it sorted.
Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. Room tastfully decorated and comfortable. The restuarant does really lovely breakfast, tapas and sunday roasts. The other side of the building has a bar area with a very party vibe, but no noise is heard in the rooms.
There was nothing really. Only when going out for a walk the road back to the hotel was a little bit of a challenge at our age.
