Pros:

Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en dacht in alles goed mee, nadat ik een voedselvergiftiging had opgelopen. Al het eten wordt vers bereid, inclusief de pasta’s. De kamer en de rest van het hotel is comfortabel, de kaart is goed en de ligging direct aan het strand.

Cons:

De gerechten zijn aan de dure kant.

Perfect location, kind staff, book it!
Pros:

The location is a dream; right on the beach and in the heart of town. The staff was so incredibly helpful. We arrived late and when we were on the way they asked if we would need something for dinner, even though their kitchen would close before we arrived. They also organized a transfer with a good driver onto our next destination. The room was spacious and clean. Loved our stay at Bay Vista!

Cons:

I would have preferred a thicker blanket but the thin sheet seems to be common around Sri Lanka!

הוא כן יחסית יקר, גם לארוגם וגם באופן כללי אבל מקבלים תמורה טובה לכסף.
חדרים מאוד מאוד גדולים, מסעדה בין הטובות בכל ארוגם במלון עצמו ואחלה ארוחת בוקר.
המלון המצא על השדרה הראשית בארוגם ככה שתהיו ליד הכל וזה היה נוח מאוד.
הצוות היו נחמדים מאוד והיה לנו כיף ואפילו הארכנו שם.

Pros:

Great experience, the accommodation looked better than in pictures. We had sun beds in shade. They also have an amazing restaurant. The breakfast is exceptional and with many options. The room is well equipped, quiet and has air conditioning. The sea view is magnificent

Amazing stay in a lovely place. We hope to return some day
Pros:

- Clean & comfortable rooms & communal areas.
- lovely layout / interiors.
- great views. The view of the beach from the dining area is beautiful.
- location cannot be beaten. Right in the heart of arugam bay, by all the restaurants and shops and on the beach, but somehow not noisy.
- really nice relaxed atmosphere with a nice ambience in the evening.
- food in the Restaurant is amazing! We had the included breakfast and 2 other meals during our time at the hotel. Everything was great.
- staff were lovely.

Pros:

The guesthouse is located in the center of main frequented areas for tourists.

Cons:

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, especially considering the price.

The service was extremely disappointing and far below what we expected. The property itself feels very old and poorly maintained, with dirty walls, worn-out furniture, and everything looking generally used and neglected.

For this price, we expected a much higher standard of service, cleanliness, and maintenance. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place.

Pros:

I had an amazing stay at Bay Vista and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Arugam Bay. The location is fantastic, the facilities are excellent, and everything was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained.

What really made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. Their hospitality made the whole stay even more enjoyable.

From the accommodation and facilities to the service and overall atmosphere, everything exceeded my expectations. A perfect place to relax and enjoy Arugam Bay. I would definitely choose Bay Vista again on my next visit! 🌊🌴
