Spacious room with a luxurious feel. Huge bathroom and shower. Very comfortable. Great location, walking distance to the beach. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good dinner options nearby as well.
Although only one night i would not hesitate to stop there again if i am in the district
No camplaints
Delicious breakfast presentation was excellent staff nice and attentive asking if everything was ok and if our room was ok nice and friendly .
If I was being picky maybe a fridge in room as there was complimentary water but no fridge for cold drinks
It was a nicely presented room , breakfast was freshly cooked which was nice
The room we had was external access to the main pub and breakfast room ,not great if weather poor . No parking, you just have to be lucky if street parking is available in almouth , but given it’s a big attraction hard to find one on
Great
Sjmall shower
Great breakfast and location brilliant. cosy bar area and friendly staff. Room was very good but a bit pricey especially as on my own. I also didn't realise i had to access the room via outside stairs which i was a bit apprehensive of but staff carried my bags up.
The room was delightful and had a great outlook over the local church. The breakfast was delicious, cooked to our order made the previous evening. The dining room was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly.
A minor thought and our personal taste but we would have liked some fresh fruit at breakfast. However the breakfast was otherwise exceptionally good. Public transport to Alnmouth to/from the train station left a lot to be desired but luckily enough we are reasonably fit and able to make the 20 minute walk (albeit with luggage).
Great location, staff and breakfast
Room way too hot - only way to cool down was by opening the window which meant lots of noise from the street right outside including vans loading/unloading in the early hours directly beneath your bedroom window. For a hotel advertising itself as 5* it did not meet my expectations at all.
Perfect location …. Very tastefully decorated
Bar shuts too early 😊
Decent location but there was a private party going on so nowhere to relax apart from bedroom. The bedroom was nicely decorated.
It’s a pub so no separation from any events which may be going on. No staff available to help on day we arrived. Stayed in rooms with pubs before and this was the worse by far.
Inviting, warm, relaxing, clean just a very cosy laid back environment that felt welcoming and that includes the staff…

We had a very comfortable room, the breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's in a good spot in the main street in Alnmouth and a short walk to the beach and several good restaurants!
The time in which they serve breakfast is very narrow (8.30-9.15), which is understandable in a small place but not conducive to having any lazy holiday mornings.
Great location, lovely room.
Unfortunately there was no food one evening and the next it was just pizzas. Bar shut early (9ish). Luckily there are other places nearby, but a bit inconvenient when it’s heavy rain.
Excellent room. Good bar with atmosphere. Good breakfast.
Very friendly staff.
Parking could be a problem when the town is busy.
Friendly
Clean
Good location
Good breakfast
Very comfortable bed
Extremely comfortable, well-updated room; friendly staff; great location at the center of Alnmouth-- I had a postcard view of the village church. Compact but well-designed bath with very hot water; shelves in the room offered more practical storage than many hotel rooms. Great range of breakfast options; pleasant pub downstairs where excellent pizza was served (though not every night of my stay).
Room 1 was great for one person but might be a bit tight for two. Configuration of the breakfast room is also fairly intimate.
Loved the location apart from the walk from the station with luggage. Landlord was friendly and kept our luggage when we checked out for a couple of hours until it was time for our train. Got a taxi when leaving to the station as it was raining £10 . Lovely view from the beer garden .
Could be noisy at times - so hot when we were there that the window was open and a delivery lorry at 4.00 am outside in the street was not quiet. If you’re round the back that would eliminate that .
