Zebra Cottage and Lodge

Such a gorgeous location with fabulous views. You can walk around the farm and watch the sunset over the vineyards with Table Mountain in the distance. Being able to wake up and look out at the Zebra, Wildebeest and Springbok was really lovely. We also took the opportunity for a wine tasting which was excellent and allowed us to choose some lovely wines to go with the meals we cooked in the brilliantly equipped kitchen.
The 2 bedrooms were large, comfy and had plenty of storage and both bathrooms were spotless.
The kitchen comes amazingly well equipped with full size fridge and freezer, cooked, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and all the pots and pans you could need.
If you like walking then we strongly recommend the Muratie trails which are less than 10min drive away - also suitable for mountain biking and trail runners.
We can strongly recommend taking a wine tasting whilst staying at Zebra lodge as well!

We enjoyed 4 nights at the charming Zebra Cottage with built-in safari feeling (watching zebras, springbok and a buffalo from the verandah each morning was a special treat). One highlight of our visit was a convivial 5-course meal at VUUR restaurant accompanied by wines from the estate. Thank you Jo and Chris for your warm hospitality. We hope to be back.

Everything about the property was absolutely perfect. The setting is exquisite with the lush grass highlighting the plains animals which roam around happily with magnificent mountains in the background. We loved the farmhouse feel of the Lodge. Plenty of space, a very well appointed kitchen and a toasty fireplace. It felt just like home except even better.
Complimentary wine tasting of excellent wines. And all hosted by ultra-friendly staff and owners.
We can’t wait to return.

Это было самое уютное и приятное проживание за все наши две недели в Южной Африке! Коттедж просто потрясающий, а пить кофе утром на террасе с видом на зебр - это просто невероятно.
Каждый день приходила уборщица и мыла посуду/убиралась/заправляла постели.
Вечером топили печку и сидели в дружной компании в гостиной.
Ходили на дегустацию вин этой винодельни - я купила три бутылки! Вино прекрасное, а сама дегустация проходит в минуте ходьбы от домика.
Если когда-то вернусь в Африку, с радостью остановлюсь еще раз тут и буду советовать всем друзьям.

The hosts were very helpful and responsive. The view of the wildlife from the patio was amazing. Our stay was lovely and comfortable.

Geweldig mooi plek!! De cottage was ruim, gezellig ingericht met houtkachel en een heerlijke veranda met uitzicht op de zebra's. Helaas konden we maar 1 nacht blijven maar we waren heel graag langer gebleven!

Tolle Unterkunft mit vielen Tieren - unseren Kindern hat es sehr gut gefallen. Die Unterkunft war sehr sehr schön

Big cottage with beautiful terrace and views of the mountains and game. I found the cottage more modern and upkeep than the pictures. Also very clean. It has big bathrooms, a kitchen with everything needed. The location was great for visiting excellent wine estates like Delheim, Muratie (both very recommended), Warwick and Simonsig. We enjoyed very much the stay and would recommend to anyone visiting

Wir sind zum zweiten Mal im Weingut Remhoogte Estate, dieses Mal im Zebra Cottage. Ein wunderschön eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit Blick auf die Berge und eine Wiese mit Zebras und Gazellen, von der Terrasse hat man abends einen herrlichen Sonnenuntergang. Die Weine des Weingutes sind hervorragend und man kann als Gast ein kostenloses Tasting genießen und dazu Flammkuchen genießen.
Stellenbosch ist ca 6 km entfernt

Jo ist eine sehr liebe Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns im Zebra Cottage sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Very nice place, conveniently located to visit Stellenbosch, Franschoek. It is really relaxing place to stay and feel the nature, farm and lovely animals seen from the terrace. The house and beds were comfortable.

The staff was nice and check in and check out were smooth.

There is on the territory restaurant Vuur, really recommend to check before and may be book a 5-course dinner there. Also, really recommend to try Honeybusch wine produced on the farm.

Our children also loved this place.
